Funny, We're having those issues over here too. There was a huge argument on my front porch this morning about whose fault it was they missed the bus. Both- one who wouldn't get out of bed and the other who took to long getting her shoes on and kept saying the bus doesn't come till 940. it comes at 930. I needed a do-over day by that time.

dont get me started on chores and that stuff. I dont know how many times I have to tell them I dont care who put it there I asked you to put it away.

UGH!

When is the moms only disney vacation?

Don't you hate those mornings?!!! I get the same thing with the chores. Mine kids spend more time arguing over whose turn it is to feed the dog (or whatever) than it would have taken to just do it.

Boy you ladies make me very happy that my kids are all grown, not that that has stopped me from having to go and play mom or grandma. I want to be included in this adult only trip.
I have not gotten a lot done except designing on the craft room. Something is going around here and I woke up with it last Thursday.

THat happens here too,. Why is that? They are slowly learning that I mean business. Now I am home 24/7 and we are going to get things back on track. DBF is having a slow adjustment to it as well. I am hoping that within the month things will be all good.

Megan is in 6th grade, so first year of middle school, I'm trying to let her find her way, but its hard too sometimes. She's getting A's and B's, but "forgets" turning in her library book since they don't have a scheduled day/time and likes to procrastinate on getting any long term projects done sooner than later which drives me bonkers....get it done, then its done!

luckily Megan gets up right away in the morning so that's never been an issue, but sure that will change too as she gets older and hits the teenage sleep pattern.

Erin hope you win the twinchies battle can just see the paper flying around the room

LaWanna I've been sick for a over a week too and even on antibiotics and still not 100% yet....have gone through 5 boxes of tissue and still blowing my nose

I have to say, i don't have kids but work with various grade levels and time management does seem to start hitting some of them in 5th grade.....I am so very glad to not work in the middle school as I hear it gets harder on some kiddos- plus the whole hormones thing.

I have also come to a standstill on the twinchies. I have a vision to finish the one and can't seem to sit down and do it...and well, the other set has yet to be thought of! (Darn that MK swap piece that sucked the scrapping life out of me. ha)

Happy to say I got to work on this all day yesterday! My life the past week has been so choppy -- only getting small periods of time to work. Finished designing the pieces (that 3rd quote got finalized!); got everything cut, and started gluing and embellishing.

Erin - hope those inchies started behaving! They were my biggest personal challenge since I had never done them before.

And it sounds like we should just do a Disney Meet instead of mailing out our cans? I'm in! This was a crazy morning and I'm ready to leave my husband and kids for a bit!

Yep, those middle school yrs are tough! Wish I could say it gets better with high school, but Madison has B averages in 2 classes because she completed assignments, but never turned them in. Makes me crazy!! She is going to need a keeper in 3 yrs when she goes off to college.

Erin, good luck with those twinchie! They are tough. I haven't quite figured out how to get all those embellies on such a small square and make it look good. I'll get back to mine tomorrow.

It sounds like we all need a girl's day at Disney!

Ugh....long night last night...just could not sleep. Finally went to bed at 1:00, up at 5:00 to take James for am wrestling practice (doing 2-a-days now to prep for Districts, Regionals and States), back home to the biggest and littlest dogs both going to the bathroom in the house (you may expect it from the youngest, but the 4 year old and 8 year old dog?), then getting the other two up and out the door. So, I had a cup of tea and now want a nap!! LOL Not sure that I even want to attempt the twinchies today...affraid of what may come out of it. I think they are going to be pushed to the weekend. And, I need to finish the can still...but that idea is going to turn out...I am fully confident there. Anyway, rant over...will update again after the weekend! On the other hand, looking forward to learning the new challenge!

As for colds...I had that same cold about a month ago....terrible!! Totally in my head, but knocked me down for a couple days completely and held me back for quite a while. Stinks!! Hope everyone feels better soon!

Disney...totally for it! DH and I went in 2010 for 4 days...no kids...A-MAZ-ING!!!! Actually my favorite trip thus far! LOL

Dacky - wanted to update you on Operation CKC Lancaster....I dropped the suggestion that we go to Hershey for a few days in July...late July more specifically. DH and the kids thought that sounded like a good idea. The kids were really excited. DH asked what made me suggest it. I told him I thought it would be a nice change. Now, I need to be creative and think of how I am going to break it to him that I am leaving them for an afternoon while we are there to go to a scrapbook convention!! LOL Any suggestions....ANYONE?

Megan's doing good in school...hormones have been raging for the last 1 1/2 years so getting used to that we had a good talk yesterday about being more responsible and remembering what she needs to do, hope it sticks

Erin , just tell them you need a mental health day and your going to the convention, they'll be having fun anyways, remind them "happy mama - happy everyone else"


would love to have a ladies weekend....maybe that's something we could try to plan in the middle of the country somewhere since we are so spread apart! the tough part would be convincing Megan, she so worries when we are apart.

Question on the twinchies...because they are driving me nuts...was going to push away until the weekend, but my mind is wondering...just trying to sketch some thing...

I know it is two sets of 4, equalling 8 total. Do all 4 in a set have to coordinate. In other words, can I do 2 coordinating, 3 coordinating and then another 3 or do one set of 4 and 2 sets of 2? It still equals 8.

I guess by scrapping I mean swapping ha. I haven't touched a book since I finished the one for our Christmas trip in November....I have 2 trips to scrap. I figure after I accumulate enough awesome swap items, I'll get on it?

I just figure pixar/flower&garden- if you can think of anything for those- awesome. If not, no worries. I have pics to scrap for every aspect of WDW

Awwww....no worries! I thought maybe you were pushing it ac a day since you were having sign-ups for your other swap. I'm still not 100% on the last challenge and now feel like I'm coming down with something...body aches, chills....ugh!!!!!!
