I have finally finished the main portion of my Disney crafting. Thank you so much to all the DISigners and everyone on the boards. I got so much inspiration from seeing other people's finished products. The DISigns are wonderful and I used a lot of different DISigner's work. Thank you again...I had so much fun!

My son's shirts below. He wanted mainly white shirts. I used Amy Mickey's dark transfers for all of my shirts. This was my first time to do any of these crafts. The transfers were truly as great as everyone says. So easy to use and look incredible. I bought my daughter a shirt at the Disney store and it doesn't look half as good as the shirts I made.

Some of her complete outfits: (I used iron-on crystals on the Minnie tiara and they look incredible but don't show up well in the picture. They were easy to do also.

Autograph Books: I used Chaos1cent's covers. I used Paint to add our names. I used Natalie's pages for most of the characters...I just whited out the name and border (was worried about ink consumption). I also shrunk down some t-shirt designs to make generic autograph cards. I "built" hard covers by covering chipboard with scrap paper and then mounted the decorative piece on it. I put white paper on the inside, like a "real" hard cover would have. I made the cover waterproof by spraying multiple layers of acrylic spray on them. They feel very sturdy!

I have more fun on these boards! Thank you again to all the generous DISigners! You are all so talented!

Everything looks terrfic!
You really did a nice job......the craftsmanship is out of this world!

Thank you so much Natalie! That is an especially high compliment coming from a DISigner! I LOVE your work...I found myself wanting to plan a Christmas trip so I can use some of your holiday disigns!

Everything looks Fabulous! I especially like your daughters red shirt with the hidden Mickey's. Did you do all of the "sparkle" on that shirt? Very cute!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. It is always nice to see the finished products.

Wow! Your autograph covers look amazing! What is chip board? Do they sell that at a craft store? I'm assuming that you sprayed them to waterproof them b4 you bound the book together...correct? Your covers really put mine to shame. This year I am going to try to make covers like yours. Thanks

Thanks! I did do the sparkle on her shirt. I just used large and small black sequins and black seed beads. It took about an hour to do, but each thing I added made it look cuter so I couldn't stop!

I LOVE to see everyone's finished products too...such great ideas!

Thank you so much! I couldn't find any clear plastic that I like to put as my "cover protector", so I just kind of developed this idea. You can buy chip board at a craft store. It should be back by the photo mat board. It is the brown cardboard-ish looking stuff like what is on the back of pads of paper. If you use Creative Memories products, they always include chipboard in their packs of pages and page protectors...that is what I used. It is not extremely thick and is a little flexible (before I put all the stuff on it!) I made my covers about 1/8" larger than my pages on three sides. I assumed the bound side the pages and covers would sit flush, but they actually don't as you can kind of see from the picture. If I made them again, I would add 1/8" on all four sides but still bind the "bound" side flush and the pages would move to where they were centered within the covers.

I used regular printed scrap paper, not as thick as cardstock, to "wrap" the covers and just had it overhang the inside by 1/2 an inch or so. I wrapped the covers with the paper before I put the spray adhesive on them. I wanted to make sure all the folds were in the right place and I used a ruler to crease the folds. Once that was done I sprayed them with adhesive and then it was very easy to see where I needed to set the piece of chipboard. Then I took the decorative design with the kid's name and character (printed on white cardstock) and used 3M photo mount (it is permanent) to attach it to the cover. I let those sit for a little while just to make sure everything was fully dry. Then I started the matte acrylic spray. I did several layers...just until I felt it was covered well, although it doesn't take much to waterproof it. I am one of those people that uses heavy coats although they say not too! I do have a few small bubbles here and there. I tried to pay attention to the edges and corners. I did not spray the "inside" of the cover. I was afraid the paper on the next step wouldn't stick. Once I felt like the spray was dry, I took our address page and used spray mount to stick that to the inside of the front cover. I used a blank white piece for the inside of the back cover. I used a quote for the first page because I am only getting autographs on the right side of the pages and the left side is for pictures, so I didn't want an autograph on the first page.

Then I was ready to bind it. I am still taking a big Ziploc in case of rain...my pages aren't waterproof!

This is probably way more info than you wanted...sorry! I do get carried away talking about Disney crafts!

All of this is just too cute .. I do have a question ... which DISigner did the mickey head with Donald Duck .. I have been looking for it forever it seems :)

Now I am off to reseach the passports .. man this has become my new addiction :)

Thanks,

Thanks,

The Donald Mickey head is Natalie's wonderful DISign. It looks incredible. I really looks like an applique head, not a transfer. It is in her 4shared file (look in her signature in her post above) under T-shirts designs, then Disney character Designs, then Mickey and Gang. I just found another adorable Donald in her Mickey heads section of t-shirt designs.

Thank you for the wonderful compliment. I know what you mean about addiction...I can't get off the boards!

Awesome!!! I love the red one with the star on it..you did a great job! Thanks for posting pictures.

They look great!!!! I love the Phineas and Ferb on the orange shirts - Too Perfect!!!!

Fantastic Job!!!!

I love everything you made it's all great. I read what you wrote about the chipboard. Can you explain how you bound it? Is there a thread that gives directions to make the autograph books and EPCOT books?

Fantastic! Can you tell me where you got Phineas and Ferb? My kids would LOVE that!:thumbsup2

Thank you!

To bind the autograph books I borrowed a friends Zutter (brand) Bind-it-All. They sell them at Hobby Lobby and the binding wires. I have to get one of those...it is awesome! I had to punch the holes with the machine a few sheets of paper at a time and then punch each cover. Then you stack them all together and put the spiral wire through and the machine closes up the spiral. I know Kinko's and places like that can bind, I am just not sure if they can bind the chipboard cover since it is thick.

The Epcot Passport is something I got off of the following thread. As you go through...you may have to skip toward the end, there are references to a Word file you can download. I downloaded that and then assembled it according to the instructions given on the thread. I used clear contact paper on the outside cover. I placed it on before cutting out the outside cover. I did have to trim a little off the inner pages as those were sticking out a little farther than the outer pages. I did not have a large stapler that would reach the inside seam, so I did sew mine down the center line using white thread. It was easy. Real passports are sewn too!

Let me know if you have any other questions. These were my first Disney crafts and I had fun doing them but was glad to be finished too!
