Hi all,

Well it is 2wks today since I started on the SBD and am happy to say I have lost 9lbs :-)

I look and feel good, clothes are fitting alot better, and it is giving me the incentive to go on.

I am abit scared to move onto phase 2 and intro some carbs, so I might stay on phase 1 for another week but slowly intro bits and pieces.

Anyone on SBD phase 2&3? how are you finding the weight loss?

Love this board - keeps me going.

Good luck to everyone else.

I'm not on SBD but I wanted to say - you're doing GREAT!!! Keep up the good work! Just ease into phase 2 slowly. If you keep losing, then stay with it. If not, then figure out a way to scale back a bit. I'm happy to hear that it's working for you and 9 lbs less you have to carry around!

You're doing great! Losing 9 pounds is an impressive start, isn't it?

Don't forget to post your progress to our check in thread in thread HERE. I would hate for anyone to miss celebrating your success with you.

We have chat this evening at 7PM GMT. Will you be able to join us?

nattyk, I just started phase one, I am glad to have seen some of the success stories so far. I am really enjoying the mixture of different foods and varieties. Keeps me enthused.

Yippee! You're doing great! Wednesday I'll be on phase two also.

hi all

I am on day one of phase 2 - but to be honest I am nervous I will gain weight if I eat carbs/fruit etc - so going to be very careful. This morning I had high fiber cereal - but apart from that I will stick to phase one for the rest of the day - so take it really slow.

Good luck to everyone else.

Great job, Nat!!

I just finished Phase 1 yesterday and I lost a total of 5 lbs., which I'm really happy about. I have about 11 more to go to reach my goal and I'm sure that will come off pretty slowly.

I'm also a bit nervous about heading into Phase 2 (afraid I'll eat too much and gain!) so I'm going to take it really slow too. I did have some lowfat, sugar free yogurt this morning but for the rest of the day I plan on sticking mainly with a Phase 1 diet. However, I did see we're allowed 8 strawberries a day and I might have some for dessert dipped into my sugar free chocolate pudding! Yummmy!!! :D

What I'm most excited about having is some oatmeal and high fiber cereal for breakfast!

Keep us posted as to how you're doing!

I am just starting Phase I. I was really looking forward to the ricotta cheese dessert thing...not great. Did you like it or did you do something else instead?

yes I loved the ricotta cheese - I liked it with the chocolate, coffee and vanilla - mmmmm
try the sugar free jelly as a dessert.

good luck

I like the ricotta dessert too, but I know a lot of people don't. If it's the consistancy that you don't like, try putting it in a blender or food processor for a few minutes - it gets pretty smooth. You can also try putting it in the freezer for about an hour and it gets almost like ice cream. I've read that others have also added some peanut butter in with the cocoa powder & splenda and microwaved it for a few seconds but I haven't tried that yet. You can also add some eggs and bake it like a cheesecake, but I haven't done that yet either.

Here is another dessert you can have in Phase 1: dissolve some sugar free jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Refrigerate until almost set then put it in a blender with 1 cup of cottage cheese and blend until the cottage cheese isn't chunky anymore - it's almost like a fruity mouse and tastes pretty good and is rather filling.
