Okay, finished making ARs/PSs for our Sept/Oct trip  We are using the free dining deal. It will be me, DH, 5 yo DD and 2 yo DS. It's a lot of character meals, rather embarassing actually, but w/ a 2 yo and the free dining plan, why not right?

Here's what we have:
Chef Mickey's - dinner
Crystal Palace - lunch (our only repeat from last trip)
Liberty Tree Tavern -- dinner @ MNSSHP
Boma - dinner
1900 Park Fare -- Cinderella dinner
Storybook Princess breakfast
Mama Melrose's -- lunch

Sounds good. We are in the same situation as you..free dining & young kids means you can't have too many character meals! We have 5 of them planned over a 9 day vacation in Oct. :sunny:

Chef Mickeys dinner
CRT breakfast
Crystal Palace dinner
LTT dinner w/ MNSSHP
PSB - breakfast or dinner (have to call on Saturday for that one so I better make up my mind!)

Is there such a thing as TOO many character meals? I'm going with just my two 2 dd's (11&6) & here's my plan:

Tues - arrival - Dinner CP
Wed - Donald's Breakfastasaurus
Thurs - CRT (b or L), LTT dinner
Fri - Chef Mickey's Dinner
Sat - Epcot Princess Lunch
Sun - 1900 Park Faire Dinner
Mon - CRT or Epcot breakfast

so let's see I've got 8 sit down meals planned & they're ALL character meals!!! LOL - gotta have enough pics to scrapbook you know :wizard:

Looks great - we've heard great things about 1900 Park Fare, which we booked this time around and Boma's. We loved the interaction at both Chef Mickey's and PSB. We too are doing several character meals 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's and CRT, with DD5 and DD1. Have a great trip!

You chose some of the most popular restaurants in WDW. Some of them I have also planned for by making ADR'S.....

I love the dining plan, makes you try all the wonderful places disney has to offer.

Bon appetit!

ok I may be out of touch, what is the free dining plan? we're going in Oct & booked resort, can we still get this? we have 8 AR's planned.....thanks for the help!

The free dining plan could be booked until July 3 (I think) and is good from Aug. 21 (again, a little fuzzy on the exact dates) until Oct 4. It was a package plan that included Disney resort, tickets, and free dining (one table service, one counter service and one snack per person per night booked) for one package deal price.

Thanks soccerchick! I guess we didn't get it since we're checking in on 10/4 - figures!!! haha

Good choices. We just came back and ate breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's,breakfast at Crystal Palace and dinner at Mama Melrose. All were very good. It was our first time at Mama Melrose and I would definately go back again. The salad and the bread was a meal in itself so watch that you don't feel up on all of that. Have a great trip! :)

Poohluvrs, hate to be the bearer of bad news but all you had to do was check in by Oct. 4th. Once we decided to do Disney this year I checked out mousesavers.com because Mary is great at keeping everyone up to date on specials. The advice was great as we had days left from our last trip. Booked a week, added Magic My Way for one day and got free dining for the six of us for the week.

Calgarygary - what is MagcMyWay? We booked our vacay late March through CRO for upcoming Oct, guess deal wasnt offered then?wonder if I can get it now, booked week at GF & park tix, no meal plans - am I too late??!! For the almost $5k for the week, I want the food free!!!! :rotfl2:

Dont worry you're not the bearer of bad news, I appreciate the info! At worst case, were travelling w/ 2 kids under 3 so theyre free most places (of course they dont eat anyways.... )

Our list of dining reservations for Sept 24th - Oct 1st. Mind you, I have two DD ages 8 and 5. We got the MYW + Dining free deal as well. We wouldn't have dined at many of these places if we didn't get the package. We were very lucky, as this is our first Disney trip, and the package fell into our laps. The package makes our already magical vacation even better!

Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast (Sunday Morning)
Ohana's (Sunday Night)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (Monday Night)
50's Prime Time Cafe (Tuesday Night)
Le Cellier (Wednesday Night)
Hollywood and Vine (Thursday Night)
Crystal Palace Character Buffet (Friday Night)
