We signed our contract and sent it in UPS next day air. Now we are waiting. I was wondering. On a resale - do you get a member packet like you do when you buy from Disney? We actually bought points at Saratoga Springs last May, but we cancelled when we got home. Then we looked into resales. I lent my information to my SIL and now I am anxious to plan a vacation! We are thinking of using our first year's points in California.

Yes, once the closing has occurred, you will receive a new member packet as if you had purchased through Disney. You will be treated as any/all DVC members from that point forward as they do not differentiate in any way, shape or form once you are an owner.
