Finger scan & magic band

So when we went the first time to DW this past September, I had no idea about the finger scan thing. SO I had all of our cards and she told me to scan them, i scanned the top card and then she had me do my finger. Then i realized that I used my husband's card. She told me to just continue to use his and he used mine and paired his finger to my card.

So next time we go, is that going to still be linked when we get magic bands? And if so, can we get it changed? If not, I will just have to remember to wear the band assigned to him and he wear mine, but it would be nice to get it straightened out.

The quick answer is this: You're fine. There should be no issues with your Magic Band and finger scanning going forward. If you have an issue, you'll find out at the gate and fix it at that time.

Here's why: The band itself won't be affected. Your Magic Band just connects with whatever tickets you are using at that time. I am pretty sure that the ticket you scanned is attached to that fingerprint and once the ticket is used, the scan is thrown away. You do a "new" scan on your new tickets next time.

The only time this will really be an issue is if you scanned your finger on his annual pass. Then you'd want to get that fixed because it would stay attached for the whole year of the pass and any renewal.

At least that is how I understand the system to work.
