Have they started doing the finger scan to enter the parks? If so, are they cleaning the "pad" between each person? Just want to know if we should bring wipes/hand sanitizer for us and the G Kids. THX

I don't recall them wiping the finger scanners between guests back in December. I would bring hand sanitizer and wipes even if they do wipe the finger scanners. There are just too many high-touch areas that you come in contact with.

The sensors are in use and they don’t wipe them between customers. Bring plenty of sanitizer. As a good practice, we just got into the habit of using it after we entered the park and after we rode any rides. Not worried about COVID so much, we just didn’t want to catch a cold or bug while on vacation :)

There is no cleaning but they also don’t use them when it’s packed so last few weeks they have been turned off.
I’m sure at some park at sometime recently they have been using them but if there are big lines they turn them off.

When I was there a few weeks ago, it was random. Going into MK, the party before me had to scan, but I did not. Going into EPCOT a few days later, I had to scan, but several around me did not.

Back in January we were either told to use our fingers or told not to. Never figured it out.

At MK at least on busy days they’ve been turning the scanner off on the right turn styles, to accommodate bus and ferry traffic.
