finding your stroller

I am taking my own stroller, a sit and stand. I have been reading that people find it aggrivating trying to find their stroller in the stroller parking. Can you tell me what you did to "mark" your stroller to make it easier to find. Maybe even a picture!

Thanks you!

Jackie

It's only tough to find them because a lot of them are either Maclarens or the park strollers! We put a bike license plate (with DD's name on it) on the back our ours.

Maybe since mine is not the most popular style it will be easier to find? I hope so!

We find it most difficult to find when the CM's rearrange the stroller parking area. A unique stroller will definitely help. Good Luck and have fun!

We never had any trouble finding our stroller and we'd just bought it (at the nearby Target) so it wasn't really 'familiar' to us yet. I'd say that I usually recognized ours in the crowd based on a quick scan of the drink compartments.
But you could try tying a festive bunch of ribbon to a handle, adding a name plate (the rental strollers do that) or maybe laminate and hang one or two of those Home Depot Mickey heads from the handles...Anything that you can see easily from the top of the stroller would work great).

I always go to WalMart before our trip and get a roll of "wild" looking ribbon. I tie a big bow onto the handle so it is easier to spot. I also (a few trips back) put a return address label on the underside of the stroller frame just in case someone took it and insisted it was theirs. This way it is not seen unless you look under it and you can rest assured that you can prove it is your stroller. I have never had mine taken by mistake, but have read about it on the boards.

We went last October. I bought this wild/bright orange stuffed pumpkin and attached him to a black and white bow that I made out of ribbon and tied it to the handle. It was very easy to spot from a good distance. Come to think of it, I think it's STILL on the stroller! :rotfl:

I also made a label that I stuck to the bottom of it with all my info on it: name, cell ph# and home address. Just in case there was any confusion with another person on whether or not it was really mine. Never had to use it though!

We really have never had a problem finding ours. We added our name to the stroller strap and "glove box".

I also try to avoid having the CM move the stroller which isn't alway possible, but I try. I try to put is as far out of the way as possible. Yes, it is usually a pain to try and get it to the back of the stroller parking or close to the building, but if you just drop it off on the outer limits the CMs are going to come along and try to consolidate moving the stollers in closer to the building or farther back... It also hopefully prevents some stroller "mistaken identity" problems. If someone is going to take a stroller they are going to grab one from the outer limits that is easy to get to... Or if it truely is mistaken identity they are probably going to take the first stroller they see that looks like their.

I always tie onto the handles/bar a bright lime green handerchief/scarf. Believe me it sticks out like a sore thumb. Then if in a bind you need something to wipe up a mess, etc - you can use it & wash it in your room if needed.
