Finding participating restaurants

When you're in the parks (or resorts) are the participating restaurants marked some way or do you just have to ask or carry around a list?

The vast majority of restaurants in the parks/resorts participate in the DDP - especially counter service. There are really only a handful of non-Disney restaurants that do not participate. I can't even think of a CS that doesn't. For TS, you would most likely be making an advance reservation so you could check that out before you make the reservation.

Thanks. I looked over the list of participating restaurants and the one my son wanted to eat at (T-Rex in DTD) isn't on the list.

Nope - it's not. DTD has more restaurants not on the plan. T-Rex is not owned by Disney (as well as Rainforest Cafe), it is owned by Landry's restaurant group and they don't participate. Yak and Yeti at AK is also owned by them, but they do accept the DDP.

T-Rex does not accept the dining plan.

When you check in, you should be given a brochure to carry that has a restaurant list.

There is only one restaurant inside a theme park that does not accept DDP - Bistro de Paris at Epcot. The only Disney resort restaurant that does not accept it is Victoria & Albert's. You also can't use it at the Garden View Tea Room.

Most of the restaurants that don't accept DDP are at Downtown Disney. There is also the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, which is not within the park gates and does not accept DDP.
