Finding out if points used would be bankable?

The VB pool closure in January would affect me. I still would stay there but not for all 5 nights, I would stay for 2, since there are things in the area that interest me.

However, my villa there cost more points than anything available in WDW. I have a March UY and would have to bank by Thursday. Right now, I don't even know for sure that the pool will be closed all of January, but that's what was posted here. I've a request with MS to get back to me if that's true.

Is there a way to tell from the member site if borrowed points were used.

I think that if you are on the member's site you can click on the year in the box with the points and it will give you a breakdown. I hope that's fairly clear.

I just checked. Go to vacation points and there will be your list of contracts (if there's more than one). For each contract there is a breakdown of how many points you have and how many were banked in and out for each UY. Still a bit confusing but it's there.

The web site won't tell you specifically how many of each type of points were used for a particular reservation. The easiest way to find out would be to call member services and ask. However, as the previous poster said, you can see a history of all transactions for each of your contracts. You can probably figure it out, but it will take some work.

If you go to the Activity statement for your contract, you can tell what points were used for the reservation and how many were borrowed vs. current vs. banked. Go to your points and then make sure you run the activity for the UY that your trip is taking place--sounds like it would be your March 2013 UY--and it should show it there.

You can view all contracts at once. With that many, you may have to view one at a time so that you can see if it was the one used for that reservation.

Once you hit the GO button, it will tell you when you made it and for what reservation it is for.

Given so many, it may take you a little time...but it should give you what you want.

Because of your post, while I was on hold (over 15 minutes) I looked around our member stuff online, and found what you were told to look at. We have just one membership, but it was complicated enough just with that! SSR front desk messing with things last Feb didn't help the messy look, LOL.

I always take notes on what's banked, what's borrowed, etc, when I make reservations, but I take those notes in different notebooks and put those notebooks in different places. Not sure what the point of taking those notes is, since I can't find them!
