Has anyone had the chance to see this new show at Animal Kingdom yet???? If so how was it?? Any seating tips??? About how long is the show also. Thanks!

We saw it. We were in line the first time, but then right before they were going to seat us, they cancelled the show because of technical difficulties. We were able to see it on our next trip to AK a few days later. They line everyone up and then open the doors. If you got there early, you got a seat close to the front, if you were at the back of the line, you got a seat towards the back. Actually all seats were good.

Similar to Tarzan, there are actors that walk through the theater along the main walkway and then over to the stage. The actors are dressed in costumes, with tight fitting hoods (but you can see their faces) and carry props/puppets like the fish, whatever. Not like Fantasmic where the actors carrying the props are dressed in black so you don't see them. You are supposed to see the actors. Then they proceed to tell the whole story. Show took about 30-45 minutes.

I thought is was okay, but more of a been there, done that show.

The show was awesome! Very well done. I had heard about some glitches with the sound during the show, but when we were there (11/27), there were no problems at all.
The show is 37 minutes long. (I asked a CM, as I wasn't sure if I should bring my 2-1/2 year old in, because he can't sit still!! And guess what? He did sit and also clapped through the whole show!)
I followed advice from someone else, not sure if it was on these boards or another site. They said to sit in the 2nd tier, behind the roped off area. There are 2 or 3 rows roped off for VIP's. As Deb and Bill said, the characters walk along the main walkway during certain parts of the show, and if you are in the first tier you have to turn around to see them. But I don't really think there is a bad seat in the theater!

We enjoyed the show, but we were late to line up for the show and got seats all the way over to the right of the stage. If we did it again, we'd try to get seat that were a little more centered.

The show lasted about 35 mins and since we never saw the Tarzan show, we don't have anything to compare it to. We found the costumes very interesting to look at and we enjoyed the songs as well. DD8 liked it more than DS11 did, but that's typical for us.

One other plus, the theater is right next to Dinoland and this was a nice break from the sun and a good place to sit down!

Ok I know that there are going to be many people that will disagree with me on this but...I don't like Finding Nemo the Musical. Now I realize that I was not there with little kids, my dd is 13. But with the wonderful new attraction that they did at Epcot for Nemo, this one just isn't as good. We loved seeing Tarzan, so when we saw this...well let's just say that we won't be going back. Nemo is one of our favorite movies and we were just a little disappointed. I'm sure that I am going to get a lot of bad posts...but this is my opinion. I think that little kids will really like it, I just don't think it is for everyone. Unlike Festival of the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, which are for everyone, this I feel is just for the younger crowd. Again, I realize that this is just our family and it doesn't mean that others won't love it. Everyone has to make their own opinion on this. Ours just isn't that good. :confused3

I saw the show 2 weeks ago and I thought it was excellent. Its a synoposis of the movie but it is really good. I liked everything about it!!! The customes and the scenery are fantastic. We went to the 3:00 show

I have not seen it yet, but hope to see it on our upcoming trip! It sounds great!

I feel that is a very good show, but not as good as a lot of the hype. My 7 yr old son liked it a lot, but he said he missed the Tarzan show. I felt it was done nicely, I loved the way they portrayed the characters and the performers were excellent. It is not as good, in my opinion, as the Aladdin show at California Adventure, but is a lot more artistic and theatrical than Tarzan.

I feel it is a great addition to WDW and AK, I'd definitely see it on every trip.

:thumbsup2

We saw the show on 11/24 and I enjoyed it a lot. My DD4 seemed to enjoy it, too, but then she's a BIG Nemo fan so she likes anything Nemo. On the other hand, while I thought the Nemo ride at Epcot was nice for little kids and Nemo fans like my DD, it wasn't anything spectacular. Turtle Talk with Crush, though, was great!!! My DD and her friend (a 5yo) still can't figure out how it was done!! :-)

We saw the show on 11/27. It was ok but I liked Tarzan better. There is just a lot to follow during the show. Do I watch the actors or the puppets. Don't get me wrong it is a nice show but nothing I would rush to see again.

I love the new Nemo show. I think it very nicely done. I really enjoy the music. For seats, I like to sit in the bottom-right section, where the ramp goes down to.

We saw it on 11/6 10 am show!!! We were told we were one of the first ones to see it!!!We LOVED it . But my littles are big nemo fans . It was a little bit too long for the 18 month old he was getting sqiurmy at the end. We did see a few things that could be made better (IE when they turn to the side the puppet should be on the outside of the actors body not the inside) but I think that was the pont of us there so they could work on that. Can't wait to see it again

We saw it the week before Thanksgiving and LOVED it! I thought it was very well done! We had really low crowds, so we just went in and sat down about 5 minutes before the show. :thumbsup2

We saw the show and loved it as well. There were a couple of times that DS was a little scared by what was going on but he was still fascinated with everything.

We saw the show on 12/1 and I loved it. DD (4) and DH thought it was a little too long. I thought this was much better than the Epcot ride. I thought the Epcot ride didn't have a very good flow, although it was really neat to see and the queue line was very nice.

I saw it for about 5 minutes before technical difficulties stopped the show. It looked silly.

...

I'd much rather see the Aladdin show from California Adventure. Much better. That's a much better story telling show.

Tarzan wasn't really a story telling show, but really a rock concert with other activities included. I didn't like the singers at Tarzan Rocks, but I did like Tarzan and Jane and the Skater Monkeys.

I won't need to see the Finding Nemo show again.

We saw the show on 11-30 and loved it!!
We did sit in the front rows and had to turn around for some of the things but watching up that close was great too....we could see everything.

I would suggest seeing it from either section :cool1: ....

This is a must-see.

Great costuming, excellent puppetry work that is reminiscient of the Broadway version of the Lion King, and some very good humor.

If I had to nitpick, and that's exactly what it would be, it's that there are no classic songs. But the actors really worked their butts off.

I have no idea what naysayers were expecting...Gone With the Wind?
