A new 30 minute show replacing Tarzan Rocks in AK in late 2006 :fish:

Principal characters such as Marlin, Nemo and Dory will be represented by live performers operating larger-than-life puppets. Peripheral characters will be realized by a diverse array of puppetry styles, including rod, bunraku and shadow.

"Finding Nemo--The Musical" will be staged several times daily.

I hope it is on when we are there :)

Ooh that sounds really good!
Shamefully I`ve never seen Finding Nemo :guilty:

Wow that sounds great Kaylee, lets hope its there by October :thumbsup2

Great news!

I wonder if it is going to be the same style as Anamagique at DLP (which I love)?

Noooo!! I am (almost) 39 and I must have seen Nemo 7 or 8 times - 2 of which were on a Virgin flight to Orlando!

Nemo really is a 'must-see' film, as will be the stage show.

Do you want to hear my opinion? (and it will be honest) I just don't know about putting a Nemo musical together. they do have the right people behind it, but part of the attraction of nemo for some was the lack of sing along songs, musicals aren't for everybody. My other point is that I don't see how a fishy musical fits in with this park. granted they are animals, but it just doesn't click right with me, and they are devoting a whole pavillion to nemo over at Epcot. Why do we need this as well? I'm sure I will go along to watch and I'm sure they will blow me away with the fantastic puppetry and songs, but it just seems an odd fit to put this in here. We'll have to wait and see....

i agree...
my son told me that the Avenue Q people are writing the songs....but why put up a musical that has to be written?
What's wrong with all the disney musicals that already exist?....
Nemo also seems out of place to me....

oh well....

So let me get this right...no more tarzan rocks? But I loved Tarzan rocks! Are they getting rid of tarzan rocks entirely? Dont get me wrong I love nemo...but couldnt they have two shows? :confused3

although I imagine it would be brilliant I think a Jungle Book one would be better, great songs to get the audience going and totally appropriate for AK

Excellent news :thumbsup2 Hope it is better than Tarzan Rocks :goodvibes

:confused3 Yes, sadly Tarzan Rocks is no more and Jungle book wasn't an option as that was what was in the theatre before. If you want to see Tarzan swing, best to go over to Disneyland Paris in the summer.
