Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage Thread

Woot!! I'm going to Disneyland on Monday for the opening of the new ride.. Anyone else going??

UPDATE: I'm Going to Disneyland on Monday and Will for sure try to post a video of the ride, or at least some pics.

wow you are soooo lucky, i wish i could go anyways, the old submarine ride at Disneyland was in fact Voyage Under the Sea and it closed when i was like 7. i remember how you could see the mermaids under water and all the creatures ( real and not real ) that were in the ride. i also remember hearing that when the submarine ride first opened they had real mermaids sitting above the water on the rocks. they had to stop having mermaids though when a great number of guys kept diving into the water to get to them lol! just a fun fact i thought i would share i wish they hadn't of taken the submarine ride out, i really liked it. but i'm glad that they are going to bring it back with Finding Nemo!

I knew about the marmaids.. one of my friend's grandmother was one of them. Not only did certain people try to swim out to them, but also the large amounts of chlorine in the water turned their hair a.. odd color lol. Anyways, they use to have also fake mermaid later in the ride (for some reason i remember them even tough i was just like seven when i went on it). I'm so excited to go on the new ride on Monday

UPDATE: Got new pics and vids of the ride.. will try to download them onto my computer but may take a while. btw.. the ride was AWESOME!!

ooh, i am so jealous i want to see that ride soooo badly, was it better than the original ride, do you think?

Even though I barely remember the old version, I still got some memories of the old one.. and yeah it is DEFINITELY better
