Finding Ice Station Cool's Chinese soda

Has anyone here been successful in finding any of the Coca Cola products at Ice Station Cool in the countries advertised? DH just spent a week in China and I asked for some of the watermelon drink. He went to several locations in Shanghai and asked at the company he was visiting-NO LUCK! And when he was in Italy last year, he looked unsuccessfully for the Beverly. So now I'm getting sceptical of where Coca Cola claims those drinks are from. Anyone have any luck?

I've always suspected that Beverly is dispensed at Ice Station Cool as a joke by Disney or Coca Cola!

Oh no-Beverly is very real in Italy. I lived there for over a year after college and had to politely choke down many a glass while in the homes of various Italian families. It's called "gingro" and sold in the grocery stores. Ick! Ick! Ick!
I'm going to give some to DH on our next trip, just because he's to "cool" to frequent the DIS and has no idea he should beware the Beverly. LOL!

We have found something similar to the Chinese watermelon drink in Pubilx here. It's called Lanio and it's put out by a latin company. I know they do carry it in limited supply in the South Florida area. You might be able to get your Publix to order it if you have one or maybe I could get the info on the company for you and you could write to them about shipping you some.

They do have those at the Coca Cola Museum in Atlanta, Dorothy.

I love the Watermelon one, that tastes really good!! Too bad your DH couldn't bring you back any!

Thanks everyone, but now I wish I'd had the sense to check the Coca Cola website BEFORE he went. Coca Cola has many different products all marketed under entirely different names in different countries (Duh, why didn't I think of that?) If anyone's ever going to a foreign country, check the website-and in China, that was "Smart", in a yellow can!
