Finding FP+ very annoying...

We are at 60 days out today. Went to book FP+ and I have to say I am not impressed. I've not been able to find any morning passes for the rides we want. It's annoying I can choose FP for multiple parks, there's only one I want at Epcot and if I pick it then we are out of luck for MK in the morning. This time we are at WDW for 5 days and only planning 2 days of parks. Looks like future trips will include 0 park days. We are DVC members and love our home resorts. Based on price increases and limitations with FP, well maybe I just need more coffee but I'm not satisfied with FP+.

I'm sorry you did not get want you wanted.

Did you book them and try to change them. I found that, often, you book what they give you. Then when you go to change the time, a bunch more options, including morning, show up.

My most challenging was mine train. But we are a large party (6), so at 61 days (60+10 onsite booking), I couldn't get a mind train earlier than 2:30ish. But most anything else, morning was possible.

Booking the evening times to start is a good plan. That way there are no conflicts to keep the system from offering your morning times when you want to change the times.

This is exactly what we do. I pick the evening times and then one by one move them into the morning time slots I want. I had zero issues with getting what we wanted when we wanted it at 60 days out this way.

What are you trying to book?

I'm sorry OP. I like the suggestion of getting something booked and work at rearranging. It is far different than how it used to be, but hopefully you'll make a new kind of fun... ❤

What rides are you looking for? That's interesting that you are finding the mornings booked already. Other than Mine Train and A&E usually the schedule is wide open at 60 days for the rest of them, in my experience.

Sorry you are frustrated!

Of course, it helps if you book at midnight (or 1:00 a.m. if the MK is open late)...

What dates and times are you looking for?

I booked FP for June 20-26 on Monday evening with no problem. We are a family of 5. All of our times are between 10 AM and 1 PM. I even went in in just this morning to move my times to fit with Josh's cheat sheet a little better and there were TONS of availability for every major attraction at every park for every day of our stay.

They key for me was to just pick the rides I wanted and then fiddle with times. You should have no problem doing that at your 60 day mark...

Just because you can't get FP+ right away doesn't mean you can't enjoy the parks. FP+ has, unfortunately, changed the way people think about the parks, and some seem to think they are unable to enjoy the parks without it.
I just got back from WDW and we didn't enjoy MK because of FP+. The SB lines were longer and our options seemed very limited. Epcot was great, because the crowds were low. I honestly believe that most guests are spending a lot of time in MK and cutting back on the time spent in other parks.

I have to say, I find the OP's claim to be very surprising.

I just did FP+ over the weekend, about 33 days out from my trip (because we booked the trip last minute) and I was even able to get a 1 PM for 7DMT on the 24 hour day (which was the time I was going for).

It would seriously shock me if morning FPs were gone 60 days out for anything other than A&E.

I'm glad you found what you were looking for. Not sure what the OP's issue was, but I do know it's a lot easier when you're just looking for 1. Often there is 1 left after others have booked their larger parties.

I wonder if OP has had any better luck since she posted...

My group of 5 is going right around the same time (possibly some of the same days) and I am seeing lots of early availability for just about everything from right after opening on through the afternoon....

I did notice that today pickings got slightly similar from 11 to 1 PM at MK on June 26th when I was trying to move stuff around for our group...

I might be mis-reading your post, but it sounds like you are trying to book Epcot and MK FP in the same day. You can only book FP in one park per day, so that may be why when you add an Epcot choice, your MK choices are disappearing....is that right?

Now that I read it over, I think she meant that it's "annoying she CAN'T book in multiple parks".

The thing about that complaint is - was it really any better with FP-? If you did MK in the morning, did you find decent FP- at Epcot in the afternoon or vice versa?

No I think OP means they have to use all 3 FP+ in same park. OP just wants 1 in Epcot but if they book in Epcot they don't get to book the other 2 in MK.

Sounds like OP wants to park hop MK in a.m. to Epcot in p.m.

As others suggested, prob best to RD at MK and use FP+ at Epcot for p.m. even if they only really want 1 ride at Epcot.

Of course we won't know until OP comes back to the thread.
