Finding cheap flights on American Airlines

I should have specified, I was asking the OP @EricLaurie why they were so specific about looking for AA flights out of ORD and not UA. I've flown both ORD-MCO and flown MDW-MCO and MKE-MCO on SW. I wouldn't limit myself to one airline out of ORD.
Lots of people are loyal to one or the other. I fly the one that has the price and times I want. I probably fly 50/50 on both, rarely any other airline, out of Chicago.

We just got back from Iceland and the Faroe Islands, and United had non-stop flights to Reykjavik from ORD; 5-6 hour flight. So convenient.

I fly out of the NY/NYC area and have found that both Delta and American do not have non-stop flights to MCO....I just booked a non-stop flight for the middle of August through United for $186 R/T!
That’s a nice price!

But Delta definitely has multiple daily nonstop flights from JFK and LGA (not EWR.)

Both airports typically have 5 nonstops to Orlando a day.

....it's just way easier to fly out of EWR - such a hassle to go into the NYC area....higher costs for long-term parking and tolls to boot, so you're not saving $$.

Oh I understand that completely!

I just was confused when you said Delta doesn’t have nonstop out of NY/NYC area. I think you specifically meant out of EWR.

...yes....yes I did.::yes::

OK, I'm curious. Why American out of ORD and not United? Or Southwest out of MDW. All three offer nonstops to MCO. I've flown all three of them and there wasn't all that much of a difference besides boarding.
Sorry - just saw this now. I’m in the far north suburbs (almost Wisconsin). Fighting the traffic to MDW isn’t worth it for me. I do look at MKE but find ORD has more options.

I do look at Southwest and United out of ORD. It’s easy to price them. I do fly them occasionally.

As another poster said, Southwest has really cut their flights out of ORD. Times don’t always work for us.

I fly American a lot for work and am comfortable with them. I also have a pretty good status with them so I frequently get upgraded when I fly with them. I also prefer terminal 3 at ORD. Southwest is at the end of Terminal 5 - terrible location. United is mainly out of Terminal 1 - huge. You could walk miles to the gate:). I guess I’ve become a little particular as I’ve gotten older.

As I said, I will fly other airlines when it’s worth it to me for price or the flight time is better. I just prefer American.
