We're going to be at Fort Wilderness in a week (yay!!); while there are opportunities for different all around fitness there (walking, etc), there isn't a weight room.

I'm curious as to whether there's anywhere a person who's staying at the Fort can find a gym with weight machines or free weights? We won't be leaving the property once we park, so visiting a gym outside of Disney World is out.

I don't believe there's any such animal (other than if you're a guest of a particular resort) to find a weight room, but there's always hope.

You're parking, so you'll have your own car? Can you bring your own free weights?

I don't think any of the gyms on site allow non-guests. :(

We're camping and towing a mini-camper, so we're restricted as to what we can carry. I had a feeling there wouldn't be anything available, but it was worth a shot :)

Nope, nothing available on site. We were in the same boat last year when staying at pop. Had to drive off site.... and it cost...

Use of the fitness centers at Deluxe resorts is restricted to guests of the Deluxe resort. It is one of the amenities they are paying for.

At Boardwalk Resort, for example, you have to use your Magic Band to enter the fitness center. I assume it only let me in because the system knew I was staying at that hotel.

Ask your trainer for body-weight exercises to do during the trip.
