When a CPer needs a doctor, is there medical attention provided by Disney within the program or the Resort? Or do you have to find your own doctor nearby?

TIA

For Work-related injuries, care will be provided by the Cast Health (DLR) or Health Services (WDW) teams, or another medical provider acting in conjunction with them.

For other health issues, Disney Internship and Programs Participants will need to find their own medical provider. Medical clinics and hospitals are located in proximity to both resorts.

I just went to Centra Care whenever I was sick. I think I was only sick once while I was down there and then had to go for pink eye but they have them all over the area. There is one right outside of DTD but that is always very busy since it's the closest to WDW. There's others in the area as well especially if you have a car!

If you have other medical issues and see to see a doctor on a regular basis, it would be good to find one in the area but I always just used Centra Care for any medical issues I had.

Yep - I went to Centra Care (they take appts) when I had a sinus/ear infection

Centra Care also accepts the majority of insurance. My DD had to go there for strep and she was able to show her insurance card and only paid for the meds they gave her. It was nice because it was right down the street and easy to get to.

Can you let me know the street name if you remember? I'd like to look it up and call my insurance to make sure it's covered. And...thank you very much :)

I had actually contacted the vineland office when she had to go to make sure they accepted our insurance and verified what she needed to bring with her for the insurance.

Also, they were very helpful to her and they gave her a doctor's note since she had to call in sick two days in a row. She was able to combine her sick days and only receive one point on her record card since she had the note from the clinic.

The vineland location is really close to Downtown Disney and opened until Midnight during the week.

the Vineland address also has a van that will come pick you up if you don't have a car. I've seen them at the Commons and here at Patterson
