Finance vs Cash Dilemma

We decided to pay outright for our membership at Kidani. We decided to use a HELOC instead of financing through the mouse. Our guide Frank is sending us a new contract. This is causing us to get a new membership number.

Now I am concerned that we will not complete our purchase by August 10 so that we will have a chance to book a week at our "New" Home. I want to hold my week (June 14, 2009) at Kidani. We actually plan on using our developer points at SSR but we can't use them until November so I was just planning to hold my week at Kidani to fall back on.

Can I still book my week on August 10 even though we have not closed on our purchase????

If you are purchasing directly through Disney then you can book a reservation as soon as you get your membership number. Usually right after you pay your deposit.

Contact you're guide and make it clear that your purchase into DVC will be contingent on getting and booking the reservation you want. I'm sure he/she will be able to secure the reservation in order to make the sale.

When you pay the deposit, the points go into your account (usually same day). This is how it worked for me. Then you pay the rest, etc. This is one of the benefits of going thru Disney.
