So, we paid off our vacation today :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: , now all we have to do is to find a decent flight :scared1: . I can't believe how hard it is to find a decent flight from Boston to Orlando. The crazy thing is one day a half decent flight for 4 costs $1400, the next day the exact flight goes up to $2500. It's crazy. I figure we have until the middle of April to secure a flight. I want a morning flight and while I really really really want a non-stop flight on the way down, I won't do anything more then a 1-stop.

But at least we paid the Disney portion of the vacation off today with 2 days to spare :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: . And the DS10 still has no clue :yay:

Congratulations! That is always such a big relief for me. I have most of our trip saved and waiting in the bank, but am waiting for our tax return to make up the remaining balance and then it's off to the AAA office to pay it all off.

Have a great trip and good luck with your flights!!!!!!

YAY!!!!

Now you can put all your spare cash into helping us pay OURS off!!!!

No???

Hey, it was worth a shot!!!

We are flying with Southwest out of Manchester -- their prices seem reasonable. They are NS flights, and are under $200 each (can't remember exact, but we bought 8 tickets). We've flown Southwest before and as airlines go, they're fine. I'm not looking for bells and whistles, just clean and to get me to WDW. They do come out with reduced rates, so just keep checking with them for those flights.

Are you using a travel agent? I have found that a good TA will monitor your tickets and get you the lowest fare possible up until the week of departure.
Also, check out Jet Blue. Their Boston to Orlando fares are usually affordable.
You will probably have to make one stop. Their planes have great seats, and the service is very good, IMHO.

Check out the Transportation Board and see what you can find out over there.
Good luck. You are going to have the time of your LIFE. :goodvibes

Congrats! It's always nice paying off vacation to WDW. For extra spending money put all the coins you get each day in a jar and save for Disney. DS11 and DGS2 started theirs in January for our trip in August. Have a good time in WDW!

Congrats on having the trip paid off. We are just getting started and have a long way to go. Flights are $$$ aren't they. DH wants to drive but I just don't think I can spend 14 hours (each way) in the car with a 5 and 3 year old. I'll find some way to come up with flight money rather than spend that much time in the car.

That is a good idea. I've been telling the DD's everytime that they ask me to buy some useless junk that we aren't going to buy it because we are saving our money to go meet Cinderella. DD#1 who will be 5 this month told me we could use the money in her piggy bank. Too bad it is only about $3  I do empty my pennies out of my wallet into a bank at work but I think I start doing that at home so the girls can watch it grow and learn about saving. I guess I should start putting all my change in there not just the pennies.

You are going in April right? Im sure the airfare is expensive because of its kids school vacation time. We are not going until the end of May and found Southwest flights out of Manchester NH for $79 each way! Round trip tickets for 4 are only costing me a little over $700!

Congrats on paying off your trip and good luck finding decent airfare!!

We are going the week after school vacation. We have been looking at Southwest out of ManchVegas and haven't been able to find anything less then $2300 for round trip for 4. I don't know if it's because we are going on a Saturday or what but this has been the most frustrating thing ever

BTW ~ love your screen name. My nickname is Niffer.. has been since I was a kid ;) Never heard anyone else called that. Cool name!

Southwest airline rocks!:yay: :yay: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Has anyone here used The Ding from Southwest? It's pretty cool if I do say so myself! Check it out.

You will always pay more for airfare on the weekends. Sunday's business traveling and same with Mondays. Best day my DH says is Tues. to travel, might think about changing some of your travel days, that will probably cut down on your costs big time! :) Hope that helps. :flower3:

where are you finding these prices??? Every Southwest flight we have seen out of Manchester has been around $257 etc or unavailable. We would love to fly direct out of Manchester as its closer to us then Bosten and much less of a hassel

Good luck on finding good rates.
