We did it!!!! We bought 185 BCV points on Wednesday through Disney. :cheer2: We have looked on and off for about 8 years. I wish we had done it sooner, but realistically (financially) this is finally the correct time.
I am so excited I can barely contain myself. I have several timing questions.
My Guide said it would take 7 - 10 days for the paperwork to reach us. We will turn it around immediately. How long after that will we actually "close"?
How long does it take for us to have access to the Member Website. Iwant to learn all about it, now :rotfl:
Thanks for your answers.

Congratulations and welcome home!!
I signed the papers on site at WDW on July 27th and we closed on this week, although the closing is a mere formality. So, it took about two weeks to close.
As far as the access to the member website, we actually received the one-time activation code within three days of signing the papers.
They actually send you more than enough information to get you started but I have learned as much or more on this forum in regards to membership perks etc. We are going on our initial visit in early October and I just this morning made a second ressie for two studios in early March, using developer points. So far, there just have been no problems.

Congrats and enjoy BCV. I wish we had points there. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay there in July. So elegant and fun. Loved it.

Hi Hopefully, we've been on the fence about dvc for years as well, and just this week we almost pulled the trigger on AKV. You said you bought at BCV on Wed. through Disney;was that a resale since the BCV has been sold out?We would prefer buying at something other than AKV. Thanks for the info.

Thanks everyone. It is great to hear Welcome Home!!!
Goofster, we really wanted BCV so we dealt directly with our Disney guide. The process was that we went on a waitlist for 160 points and we specified the use years we wanted. We waited 7 weeks before 200 points became available. We purchased 185 of the total 200 points. They are usually points that Disney gets through buying back ROFR contracts.
Hope this Helps
