The drive down for the most was pretty good except fot the DB who tried to wreak us on 5 by trying to move into our lane at 80 mph, I had to go acroos two lanes to keep from hitting her, and trustme it would have killed her. She was driving a 2010 Blue Prius with a Cal State Mom sticker on the back. I am surprized she has live this long.

Both DTD and DCA are much busier than I remember from last year. We are about 18 days earlier. Little Mermaid was 31 minutes, cute but underwhelming, Tot was 30 and fun as usual, MWod was 20 and again fun.

We ate at ESPN zone great meal all around, many new small vendors. Weather a little coolish at 85F would have like a bit more heat but we will see how the week goes.

I will take the camera tomorrow and see if I can upload and post. Got to get a shower and relax a bit. A bit disappointed in the room 5514. Vons was spot on again, so we have food.

More in the following days and a big Watch Out for the stroller nazi's.

You all have a great night.

Jack

details please? Inquiring minds wanna know. ;)

thanx
and enjoy your visit

I'd like to know this too what's wrong or at least falling short of your expectaions with 5541.

I bet you will be keeping sharp eye out for strollers. Do you have a hat with a rear mirror?

Be double careful about the texting stroller Nazis.
Hang up and drive already!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have to say, after recently pushing a stroller in DCA last week that getting a stoller through those crowds is nearly impossible! One memorable moment was when I was stolling along, passing by a couple of ladies that were facing away from the walk. They quickly turned completley around and stepped off at the same time, one of the ladies completely inserting her sandled foot under my wheel. I had no time to react. I saw it happen and I was so astonished, I just kept right on going. The sad part was that the foot already had a big bandage over the toe. Poor Foot!

Hey Jack glad you made it down safe...i may pop over to DLR after work tomorrow (5 minutes away)to meet the family, i'll look for you, any lime green on you?.....popcorn::

Glad you made it safely. I think DCA's crowd increase is mostly perception because of all the walls. :confused3

I hate foolish drivers like the one you encountered...

Can't wait to read more! What's wrong with the room?

..another reason to not wear open toe shoes at Disney...

Enjoy! Just making through SC traffic is a major accomplishment. Hope you have a great trip.

Back from my run, shower and now breakfast and the all important coffee.

Some additional nfo from yesterday..5 is down to one lane around Buttonwillow for about 8 miles, we were warned about 120 miles out and the last 3 rest stops were also closed.

Looks like another great SoCal day. We usually try to take it easy to start so off to IJ it was closed yesterday evening. So hopefully open this AM.

We only went as far as Soarin last night and down to screamin so not that many walls, elbow to elbow but movin along.

5514 is an end room with a partial viewof the pool, direct view of The Redwood? and to the right a partial view of the WOC area. The room appears larger than the 1 bedroom last year. Very clean, checkin was painless, picked up our F tickets, they gave us balloons and 5 different autographed character photo's. I just do not care for the view but the rest of the family loves it.

Alex, the one with the stitches last year had someone kick her foot and broke one of the nails below the quick but that is about it.

Finally everyone is getting up. Thanks for all the well wishes and hopefully we get some photo's today.

Everyone have a great day and wish we all could be here.

Jack

No lime green. If you see a big old dude wearing a Black Ruger LCP hat, that is I.

What a drive down! I hope you have a great time!

I have to say, I'm glad I've only taken my daughter once she was old enough that we didn't need a stroller...

I'm really enjoying your "Live" report!
I-5 is always fun!! :rotfl: Wish they would enlarge it to more lanes!
Have a Great day in Walts Park,, and S.Cal!
