Finally saw Avatar - What is Disney thinking?

Go back even farther. Most classic Disney movies weren't original stories - Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Snow White, Mary Poppins (see Saving Mr. Banks). They were all adapted by Disney, not created by Disney.

very true but unlike those Disney built Star Tour and the indy stuff before they owned the rights to them. They had to license them from lucas then.

I look forward to seeing what they do with Avatar even though I don't feel the movie is that good and definitely isn't a family-friendly film. That doesn't mean they won't do a great job building that section of the park.

Yeah same here I personally think it's going to be great and all the poel who are all doom and gloom will either not go there and leave more room for those that don't care or want to see it. Who know maybe they will change there tune once they see it. Also if it''s successfully I could maybe see them taking down everest for the time they need to fix the yeti.
