Finally returning to WDW after 40 year!

Howdy y'all! I'm new to the boards, but have been following DISunplugged for over a year (didn't even know it existed until then!) I am a huge fan of the Enchanted Tiki Room and fell in love with it on my first trip ever. I am not a stranger to the parks, been to DL three times '71, '83 and '90. I have only been to WDW once, when it was an only child in Orlando, way back in 1977. I can still remember seeing the cranes working on Spaceship Earth, placing the outer skin on it at EPCOT. Now 40 years later, I am getting to go back there again in August! I am so excited that I can hardly wait for this road trip. I am going with my Daughter and her family of 6, besides me, she is the only one who has been there before, and she went with the school band over 10 years ago. I can't wait to see my grandsons have the same experiences there, that I did. So lookout Tiki Room, here I come!

You'll be amazed - it's a whole new world ( to steal a phrase ). With a trip this special I recommend getting the Memory Maker if you booked a package through Disney, that way you can get lots of pictures with ALL of you in the photos. Enjoy!

Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately, my daughter is the one planning the trip and with so many of us, we will probably be offsite somewhere. There were plans to go in two weeks time, but life has gotten in the way so now we are shooting for September or October. At least by being delayed, it gives me a chance to save a little more spending money!
