Finally received Member Guidebook...

...in the Chicago area on 10/25/02. Don't know if this was a result of my calling MS or not last week. They told me it would take two weeks to get me one. Will let you know if I get a second Guidebook in the next week or so.

I called last week and mine arrived yesterday. It had first class postage on it, so I'm going to guess this is the one I requested and not one that was sent in a bulk mailing (I'm guessing they sent the bulk of them 4th class? ). I'll also post if I get a second one, but I doubt it. I wonder if I'll ever get last years'! LOL...not that it matters at this point! I was told 4-6 weeks when I called.

Haven't received ours yet here in Delaware. MS told me recently that if I don't have it by November 1, I should call back. I am only going to hold out until tomorrow . .. then again, maybe not . Think I will call today!

I am quite sure these go out on a presorted book rate. Unfortunately, some POs don't deliver them in a timely manner.

Diane, I'm not entirely sure the problem is with the PO's (though I'm sure in some cases it is.....) It seems fairly clear that there are a large number of members who haven't received the guidebook until they called about it...both last year and this year. It really does seem like there is a problem with their distribution system. And I find it funny that sales materials seem to get to everyone without a problem, but the membership things don't. (Okay, well there is an easy explaination for that one...they are handled by different divisions of the company) Member cards, Vacation Magic, Guidebooks....these are things that many have mentioned not receiving without calling. And if there are so many folks here not getting them, I would guess that a large number of members who aren't even aware that they should be getting something miss out. Personally, I'm rather unhappy with DVC's track record on this.....I had to call them about 5 times to get our member cards when we joined, called at least 4 times about not receiving last years' guidebook and never did get it, and then didn't receive this years' guidebook or the fall vacation magic. (Though I have received this years' guidebook finally...as I posted above.)

We still haven't received our guidebook and have called twice about it. I called about 4 weeks ago and was told that if it didn't come by the end of the month, call them back. I called again yesterday (10/30) and was told another batch was sent out last Friday. I hope mine was in that batch!

I did finally get a VM after I called 4 weeks ago!
