Cast: Me - 4th time to WDW in just over a year (gotta love those APs), master planner
Phil - Been to DL once over 20 years ago, 1st time to WDW
(Both early 40s)
Awoke fairly early to get ready for EMH at AK. Got breakfast at the food court and headed out to the busses. A light mist was falling, but didnt dampen our spirits any we were in Disney World!!! After a short ride over, headed through the turnstiles and straight onto the Safari. I dont know if it was the fact that it was first thing in the morning or the misting, but there were TONS of animals out!!! Took lots of pictures (I think it was a whole roll on that ride alone!), then headed to FOTLK. This has to be my favorite show in all of WDW and its a must for every trip. Phil thought it was great also!!! Next up was ITTBAB. Phil had never seen a 3-D show before and jumped at everything he loved it!!!
Now it was getting to be lunch time so off to the Flametree BBQ. Id never eaten here and it didnt disappoint. We both got the BBQ pork sandwich and could easily have split one. It was really good!!
By now it was raining alot harder so we headed back to ASMu for a break. After an hour I was getting restless so we put on the rain ponchos and went to MGM. Rode ToT, RnRC (my favorite), TGMR, WWTBAM, and One Mans Dream. It was still raining hard when we got out of there so decided on some hot food at the Sci-Fi. What a fun place!!! We just couldnt find anything on the menu that called to us so settled on splitting a bowl of the Beef & Potato Soup. It really hit the spot!!! After that wed had enough of being wet, so headed back to the room to do some laundry before our move on Wednesday to POFQ. Well, the laundry room was packed with people trying to dry out their clothes, especially sneakers. But I managed to get everything done in a decent amount of time.
We were still hungry since splitting a bowl of soup isnt much so went to the Food Court where we split a nice chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. With full bellies, decided to go back to the room and call it a night.
