Finally Here And Cannot Leave The Room!!

So I am finally here at BLT, planned on doing the top lounge to see fireworks......I could not move all night long!! I was suppose to have a knee replacement yesterday....instead I came to Disney!
They could not do the surgery because I have a torn achilles Tendon!

So I am in a cast...I did not walk to use any aids, like an ECV. But I had to call and have one delivered for today. I could not even leave the room I am in so much PAIN!! I am here for 7 nights, between BLT and SSR and AKV. But wanted to do MK.

Hope to be doing the MK park tonight!! Pool today...I did not realize BL had it's own pool!! I like it.
when you cannot walk, you do not realize how FAR everything is around here! I feel like I walked for miles just in the resort!!

Oh no! Please take care of yourself and enjoy whatever you can within reason. I know what you mean, when something hurts you realize just how much you use it! UGH!

Been there so I know the pain you are talking about. Good luck on your knee replacement. I had both of mine done (not at the same time) several years ago. Best thing I ever did. Hopefully you are having the new surgery rather than old (difference is with the new they push the tendons and muscles on the side rather than cutting them). I had the new and was back at work in two weeks (although I admit I was pushing it - should have stayed out three).

All I can say is thank God for ECVs!

Ok, I have to ask; how are you going to get into the pool with a cast and can hardly walk?

Wow you are a trooper. 3 resorts in 7 days and you are in pain. I hope that you enjoy your trip to the best of your ability. Hopefully Disney will ease your discomfort!

Natasha it sounds like you're there alone? That's gotta be tough! Any way to get some pain meds? Maybe your doc from home could call in a scrip and they could be delivered to the resort?

Hope you get to feeling better fast and can find some enjoyment during your stay.
