And I loved every single minute, second . . . . and really really hope, please ever so, Virgin Atlantic, that it's on my flight next month:D

I haven't enjoyed film so much in ages.

I thought Orlando Bloom was ok (doesn't do much for me, sorry ladies;) ) - but Johnny Depp was the star. He was so hilarious, I can't wait to see it again.

# Yo ho ho, a pirates life for me # :D

It's brilliant isn't it :) Johnny Depp was a fab pirate, I have seen it twice at the cinema - wouldn't it be cool if it was on the flight - can't wait for Wednesday to find out ;)

That would certainly get you in the Disney mood Kaylee.

I was so looking forward to seeing this film and after watching it I felt a little disappointed. Perhaps I will give it another go.

Florence, I feel much the same. Finally got to see it this weekend, and had been looking forward to it for some time. Pirates is one of my all-time favourite theme park attractions, so I felt sure I'd enjoy the film. Sadly I thought it was too long, a bit dull in the middle (I actually fell asleep for a couple of minutes!) and I really didn't have any empathy for the characters. Johnny Depp was fun (I'm a big Depp fan) but I did feel he'd been allowed to get a little bit too carried away. A sterner Director would have not allowed him to get too self indulgent with his Keith Richards impression.

If the film had been 20 minutes shorter, or had spent 20 minutes more on character development rather than action I think it would have been a classic. Having said all that, no doubt I'll buy the DVD and go and see the sequel, but I just wish it had been a little better.

Regards

Rob

Erm............. I don't know if I should admit 'in front of' Kaylee, but we STILL haven't got round to seeing it  ..... and now I'm getting a list of "to see" films - Calendar Girls on the top of that list.
