Finally got round to booking restaurants...

...and I am gutted we couldn't get opening time for Auberge for Rosebug's birthday meal. Got 1:30pm. Just really hope we don't get a rubbish table. Have booked her birthday cake there too.

I blame DH - he was told to ring on the first day; but he kept forgetting!

Also booked Inventions for the second night at 6pm; as I think we have talked ourselves out of BBWWS!

Now we need something for the Wednesday - either lunchtime or evening!

I've found food options at DLP quite limiting with food allergies. Seems all that can be offered is special 'allergy meals' all seems very boring and not very magical or special at all. oh well

Don't feel bad - we've only just booked our dining reservations and we're going in 12 days! Luckily, we got everything we wanted - Inventions at 8:30pm on my birthday. We just need to book breakfast at Cafe Mickey

Yes - DH is going to phone a few more times and see what times pop up! Surely someone who has booked for that time must cancel!

We have only ever done opening time; and been the first in so got a seat on the dance floor. It is pretty quiet at opening times (usually) so you get a more peaceful start.

I am sure she will - if she tells us once more that she is "Nearly 5 you know?!"

BBWWS has great reviews - I just couldn't justify the cost on top of Auberge and Inventions! I am sure you will both love it!

The allergy meals at DLP are just processed sealed things; really not good service for those with allergies!

We went for my 30th birthday - the week after; really wish we had known about the birthday cakes and Inventions etc. way back then!

Inventions is my favourite meal!

yes very un-impressed with the 'allergy meals' as for a child its not ideal, (tho not ideal for anyone who has food allergies) they can't even safely do a portion of fries! as they do use peanut oil in some of their restaurants. With the allergy meals costing 15 euro a time. So i didn't see any point in booking places like inventions or cafe mickey etc as felt it wouldn't feel very 'special' with an allergy meal plonked infront of him when everyone else is having a nice proper meal. So went for BBWWS instead.

I'd also try Auberge again for the time you want. Even when you arrive you might just find theres some availability. You must be getting so excited now

Still no joy! DH phoned today and they said no availability again! I am so OCD I hate being out of my comfort zone and things not going the way I planned. Silly I know - it just knocks me off kilter! Drives DH mad!

Gosh - Looks like it is going to be a VERY busy week!

I am having a sudden panic that I booked for the 16th instead of the 17th (we arrive late 16th). Going to have to ring them tomorrow.

Do they always fully book each sitting; or do they leave some for people turning up on the day?

It depends, on a few occasions I've seen them turn people away without reservations but other times they've let them wait in case a table becomes free. It might be worth popping in there at 12.30 on the day you're going, just to see!

I think it is really going to be busy that week - I just hope the weather is kind!

All,

I don't think it matters when you rock up, my reservation wasn't as soon as opening and I had the time of my life. I was made to feel like a princess despite being an adult and having no kids with me.

I had Ariel (my fav), Cinderella and Aurora sing happy birthday to me and bring out a birthday cake, organised by hubby It was so perfect!

We didn't have the best table but you could request a better one I'm sure!
