Finally got an ADR for O'Hanas!

I have been calling 2 times per day for about 6 weeks now trying to get an ADR for dinner at O'hanas on May 4th and finally got one today!!

When I called back to confirm all my choices and cancel my backup reservation at Konas the CM thanked me a million times for cancelling and giving someone else the chance to book it. Of course, someone else extended me the same courtesy by cancelling their reservation at O'hanas. So I hope someone else can use the one I cancelled. We will peek into Kona while we are in the neighborhood and probably eat their on our next trip, cause it sounds great too.

Congrats! One question though, is May 4th a special US holiday weekend or something? Reason I ask is that I made an ADR at Ohanas for May 17th 3 weeks ago and have since changed it about 6 times finally landing on the 18th in the late evening. It didn't seem to me as though it was a really tough place to get into.

May 4th is not a U.S. holiday.

The first week of May must be very busy for some reason, I checked the day before and after the 4th when I first encountered the booking problem and those days were full as well.

We have a ressie for 'Ohana's on May 5th for dh's birthday. We booked it several weeks ago and the earliest time we could get was 8:15. Not sure what's going on that weekend....Mother's Day is the following week, but we're staying at AKL and that is full too. Can't wait though!!

I must admit that they do have some of the best corned beef and cabbage I have ever had. The 17th of every month they also have green draft beer to celebrate "St Pattys Day".
