Finally got a room ready for Christmas - with 3 hours to spare!

Usually DW Lauri has trees up in every room of the house but it's been a rough year for her so it's taken us forever to finally get a room in the Christmas spirit.

Good thing we finished this room too. Lauri's employees are coming over tonight at 8 to have a Christmas party (without the troublemaker if you have followed other posts.. he knows better!)

Thought I would share a picture of the Pinobi/MeanLaureen Christmas

Oh Matt and Lauri........that looks so beautiful.......It got me in the spirit.....but our tree won't be able to go up until after the SECOND carpet is laid on Wednesday.......I am not happy having to empty the two big rooms Again.....of all the furniture and then the china closet has to be emptied and then the books and the tv.......OY OY OY

I ran some errands this morning and stopped by my sister's house....we ended up just sitting in front of the tree with hot tea and chatting for a couple of hours.....didn't help with getting the chores done, but it sure was pleasant!

Maybe next year Lauri will be able to do the house in it's full glory. This is the living room that she does in the gold and burgundy theme. She has a tree for the dining room that she does in silver and crystal and has icy garlands hanging off the chandeliers and windows. In the den she does her Hallmark tree. She puts probably close to 300 (maybe more) Hallmark ornaments on that one with multicolor lights. No 2 are the same. Then in the breakfast area she usually puts my slimline tree with all my Star Wars and Superhero stuff. And then of course there is yet another tree for the bedroom that doesn't have a clear theme to it - just a bunch of ornaments from her childhood. I would say that the only room safe from having a tree is the bathroom but nope - small tree on the sink counter.

Your living room looks so inviting, very pretty. I hope you all enjoy the party! Now...you've go me contemplating adding a second, or third, tree for next year. This year, and last, I've had a snowman tree with snowmen, snowflakes, icicles, etc. but I'd love to make a Disney tree too and use up all the ornaments I've collected over the years.

Hmmm.. looks like people aren't the only ones that enjoy a peaceful Christmas setting. Looks like Poodles do too. I found these guys in here, thankfully behaving themselves! From left to right this is Suzy, Hailey and with head poking out from behind Hailey - Reilly (with orange bone baby )

The party was a huge success! Out of the 12 employees, 10 were able to come - just one couldn't make it along with the jerk that I have posted about before. He was trying to keep people from coming and was bragging to everyone that "Look, not many people are coming to Lauri's party" They told him that he must be blind because it looked like just about everyone but him was signed up as coming..lol

Anyway, everyone had a great time and amazingly, his name was never brought up and nobody even said they were sorry he didn't come. He'll be so disappointed.

love your Christmas decorating.....your doggies are cute too. my dh loves Superman and that's what he collects!!! have you heard of the Superman museum in Metropolis,IL?
we have never been down there about 6 hrs. to Southern IL. they have a 15 foot tall statue of the man of steele in the middle of the town. anyhow, have a Merry Christmas! glad your party went so good.
