Finally! Good news on my assignment...

I've been (nervously) waiting to hear where I was assigned to "intern" during this semester. I knew it would be in a school system, but I was unsure where, although I had requested the county that I currently live in. Keep in mind, to get to my graduate program, I drive over an hour, through about 3 other counties. Generally, the students doing this are assigned to counties on the other side of my program, which would mean a drive of an hour to an hour and a half. Well, I hadn't heard ANYTHING, which had me worried. So yesterday I found out that the county I'm in does want me, just didn't know what school(s). Today I finally heard-the school is fairly far away, and it's in the direction that the majority of traffic is going, but it could be worse. I get to start on Tuesday! Wish me (and the kids) luck! I'm a little nervous since I like older kids better and this is an elementary school, but it should be fun I hope!

Yeah, I was concerned with distance on other school systems for sure, and hopefully this will help me get a *PAID* internship next year. This is only 2 days a week since I'm still in classes.
