Finally! Good Disney Store News!

Went to our local Disney Store today and was sooooooo happy to see some of their new merchandise! Great new adult T-shirts and sweatshirts. 20% off already reasonable prices! I hope this is a sign that things are on the upswing and the bigwigs listened to our complaints.

Does "reasonable prices" = low quality? (e.g. screen-prints rather than embroidered tees?)

I can honestly say it has been YEARS since I have found anything I want to buy in the DS other than park tickets! The quality and the selection took a big downturn about 3-4 years ago. Now I see so many of them closing. I wonder why someone couldn't figure it out!!!

I went to TDS a couple of weeks ago and I saw some adult nightshirts. I was very excited to see adult stuff again.

I was in a recently remodeled TDS on Wednesday but couldn't really tell the difference. I bought DD#2 a Cinderella lunchbox. I saw a lot of t shirts but most of them were that sticky stuff--I hope you know what I mean, it's shiny and sticky and sticks out from the shirt a little. In my experience those designs don't last long. There were other screen printed T's as well.

I bought a few shorts and shirts for my 8yo dd when they were marked down to $5. (from $22) They were Minnie and Princesses and were the transfer kind. All of the transfers are coming off already. *bah!* Oh well, what did I expect for $5, right?

If the quality keeps going down, the only Disney stores will be the ones in Disney.

Ours closed last month. The closest one we had was 30 miles away. Now the closest one is 3 hours away. I'm glad to hear they are listening though. Ours didn't have any adult stuff.

I was in my local Disney Store the other day and they still didn;t have an adult stuff. Atleast not that I noticed. DD did get Piglet's Big Movie on DVD.
