We started the process of buying at BLT with the web cast incentives!!!
Thanks to everyone on the boards for answering our questions over the years and helping me convince DW. After years of trips and thousands of dollars, we realize DVC is for us.
When we first started looking at DVC, so many people on the boards dreamed of DVC building a monorail resort. After hearing about BLT, we loved the location but weren't sure about the theme. After seeing pictures and touring the models in Chicago, we decided we wanted to stay there for many years to come.
Things that really put us over the edge:
Location, location, location
- walk to/from MK
- Couple great categories (Magic Kingdom view and Lake View).
- easy monorail to MK, Epcot, Poly, and GF
- boat to WL
- easy access to several great restaurants without having to change buses
- lake activities
- being able to sit on the beach
- great location for special events like MNSSHP, MVMCP
- easy transportation with a scooter
We'll be making our first trip "Home" in less than 6 months and taking DM. We're taking her to AKV Kidani for 3 night so she can see the animals and BLT LK view for 4 nights (wait list for MK view). We will likely be renting a scooter for her, so having access to the monorail will be perfect.
