I just got word that my trip to Nashville for CMA fest is going to be cancelled due to my friend is sick and cannot go. I was at first upset and dissappointed at the whole situation. I now have decided to sell my tickets and stuff and I am going to WDW from June 2-6. I might be bringing my younger cousin (i'm 23 and shes 14 big age gap but shes like a little sister) but that is not definite yet. I am just excited to go back to WDW. None of my friends ever want to or can go. I'm kinda nervous to do a solo trip but have realized that I will be able to see things I couldn't last time and to do a tour. Anyone else going around that time??

Good for you! I understand your plight with your friends, none of mine care about Disney at all...I think most of mine have never even been and don't care to  I'm taking my first solo trip this fall :) Don't be nervous, just have fun :)

How exciting! My family loves WDW but cannot go because of other things, and my friends aren't into it like I am so I decided what the heck, its been almost 4 years since my last visit so I'm gonna go solo. I am so excited.. everything is booked and planned and I cannot wait for the end of September. So many people have given such great positive advice about their solo trips. Everyone should try it at least once! :)

I'm doing my first solo trip September 23-27. :thumbsup2iy

I am doing my first solo trip this Nov also, 23rd to Dec the first. Its great that you are still going forward with it. It is very nervous. But you will have a blast, to stop and do the things you wanted to do in the past, but the others in your party did not want to,it will feel that special all by it self.

Hi! I'm going to be there for some of that time -- getting in 5/31 and leaving 6/4. You'll have a great time! This will be my third solo/friend trip (and I've been there several times with DH and my boys) -- WDW is quite different when you're on your own. Lots of time to check out the things you really want to see, instead of giving in to other people's wishes, you can eat an entire meal of desserts if you choose without someone looking at you funny... Have a great time!

I think either way, solo or with your cousin, you'll have a great time. I've found that Disney is completely different depending on who I'm with. I've only done a day here and there solo and I'm looking forward to going on a complete solo trip some day. I find the fewer people I'm with in Disney the better.

There's so much to do in Disney, so the more people you have the more opinions you have and I always feel like I have to do what everyone else wants because I've been there often. They never realize I don't do what I want to do b/c I want to keep everyone else happy. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE teaching people what I see in Disney and I love watching the magic hit them, but I can't wait for a solo trip when I can do exactly what I want to do when I want to do it.

Solo or with your cousin, you can't go wrong.

For the past 2 years (and upcoming again this Sept), I've been running half-solo, half-with-mom trips and it's great. There is a distinctly different feeling between the two halves of the trip, but I wouldn't give them up for anything (well, I suppose, a family of my own, but that's not going to happen anytime soon :p).

Either way, you're going to have a great time. There's nothing to be nervous about. Plenty of others down there solo (for whatever reason) that you're not even going to be out of place :) (that, and several parents being jealous that they have to drag their kids around when they just want to sit in WS and have a couple drinks :p)

Amen to that!!! I can't wait for my next trip - going with SO and no kids!!!

I am going offically solo. I booked my trip this morning. I'm kinda nervous but excited. I'm debating on weather or not to do some horseback riding. I think it will be in the 90s which i prefer not to wear capris in that weather. but will see. What is everyones tips for dining solo? Also anyone wanna meet up for lunch or do some rides together if ur gonna be there? I know many are going in the fall.

If you're going to be spending some "solo" time, then I think one of the best things you can do to keep that connection with others is to take some kind of tour or participate in some kind of group activity. I've done the UnDISCOVERED Future World tour solo at Epcot, and had a great time during the entire experience with other folks and the guide. I did Keys to the Kingdom with my parents, but the guide got everyone to participate and have a fun time. If you have the time and the interest, one of these experiences can make your trip totally worth it.

Have fun!

I hope you have a good time on your solo trip! I think you'll really like it :)

Thanks everyone for your kind words and helping me ease my nervousness of going alone...I'm not beyond excited!!! I cant wait to walk into the parks. Found out yesterday my cousin will be down in the area bc his daughter is graduating next wk. They are all goin to epcot one day so we will meet up and hang out. Excited for that.

I think I will be starting a PTR but idk yet.

I cant wait to goooo!!!
