Going in August (I know, hot, humid, etc., but probably (hopefully) when DH will get leave and be home from overseas), anyway we (DH, me, :earsgirl: (9), :earsboy: (6) and :earsboy: (3) are booked for:

2 nights at Beach Club Water View Concierge
2 nights at Polynesian, Lagoon View Concierge
3 nights on the Disney Wonder Category 3 Suite
1 night at Polynesian Lagoon View Concierge

:cool1: Got AAA rate on all the rooms  but still hoping that maybe AP rates will be available for August. :cool1:  :cool1:

We have NEVER stayed concierge before, but I decided to go for it since DH will only have two weeks before he has to go overseas again.

Whatcha think?

Wow, you will be moving quite a lot, won't you? I would go for one resort before the cruise and one after, but that is just me. I like to settle in and stay in one place.

I agree. All that moving around with the kids would make me crazy

Oh man, I wouldn't want to move that many times with such short stays, especially with kids. I think you need at least 3-4 nights at each resort before switching... just to keep your sanity. If I were you I'd choose either BC or Poly and do four nights together, then take your cruise, then do one night at whichever resort you didn't do the 4 days at.

Remember, when you change rooms you are homeless for about 4-5 hours each day with no place to rest or change clothes, etc. One time we split between Poly and BCV's. We ended up being homeless until about 6:00 pm. It totally ruined our plan for the day.

Hi:

I agree with the above posters. I can remember when we did a split and my dd got a severe migraine headache, we sat in the car in the parking lot waiting to get into our room, and they were busy so we did not get our room til 4.p.m. I felt like we wasted alot of time.

Besides it is nice to finally get settled into one resort, especially if your hubby has been overseas and would probably like time just to relax and not have to worry about packing everything up again. Save one of the other resorts for another trip. Just my opinion.

Time together, and making memories is what it is all about. Have a great time.

Deb.

I think your choices are great! You have all deluxe resorts with concierge--they will take care of your luggage and and all the details.

When you pay for that level of service, the moving is a piece of cake.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation!

Mommy Poppins,
If you don't mind me asking, how much was the AAA rate for concierge level at Poly? I was also looking into beach club, but they don't show AAA rates online. I am trying to plan a weekend trip in October and need LOTS of info/help. Thanks!!!

My vote is with the rest..too much moving around OTHERWISE IT SEEMS GREAT, JUST PICK ONE RESORT BEFORE THE CRUISE, ONE AFTER

I agree that the moving is easy, but as all the other posters, I think this is too much moving. I think you need at least three nights at each place to really enjoy the resort. Especially if you'll be having a lot of park time also.

You're probably right, but what I like about her choice is that she has both an Epcot resort and an MK resort. You are exposed to two different experiences, which you would lose with only one or the other. And the concierge REALLY does make a huge difference.

But she is staying at the Poly after the cruise so she would get both. You can't squeeze in everything. All that time packing and moving and checking in? When are they going to spend time in the parks?
