Finally decided on Marco Island !

After much discussion we have decided to stay on Marco Island for 6 nights in August and have to choose between:

"The Charter Club of Marco Beach" or "Eagles Nest Beach Resort"

Have you stayed at either ?

Which would you choose and why ?

All info greatly appreciated.

Holly - can you let me have their addresses? We've had a nosey around most of Marco and both of these ring a bell.

We have a choice of four properties through HGVC and looking at the brochure and a little research we narrowed it down to the Charter Club and Eagles Nest.

The Charter Club of Marco Beach

and

Eagles Nest Beach Resort

Marco Island, FL 34145

The following two are an option but we eliminated them because they don't have washer/dryers in the villas/apartments (yes I'm mad, I know). Over the years we have always had our own washing facilities and would miss that luxury. Saying that both resorts have laundry facilities on site. If anyone knows these resorts from personal experience, and can change my mind, please let me know, as I'm sure I'll cope without a washer/dryer for one week.

I finally booked 5 nights at The Charter Club on Marco Beach (Marco Island) and 15 nights at the HGVC Tuscany Village. Just need to book airport hotel now as we arrive in Orlando around 8pm - don't fancy driving down the Gulf Coast til the morning.

Thank you all for answering my many questions - your help, tips, experiences and links were greatly appreciated.

Holly - I am SO sorry I didn't reply re the addresses All this decorating has completely befuddled my already fuddled brain.

I don't know the apartments themselves, but the area along there is fabulous - the beach is to die for and there are restaurants nearby - even a little cinema, but it does play rather off the wall films
