Finally credit card debt free!!

I just sent in my last credit card payment which makes me credit card debt free. Well I do have one current credit building card that I put a tank of gas on every month and then pay off.

Now the only debt I have is my student loans which I will double up payments on with the money I used to use for my credit card debt.

You obviously have a good get out of debt plan. Good for you. I did this four years ago and it is so freeing to not have credit card debt of any kind. Excellent choice to have one card you pay off monthly for "credit building".

Yea for you OP!! We've been debt free for 2 years now. No credit card debt, and no car payments. It's amazing how much money that frees up!

Us two. Now we put the extra $$ on the principle of our mortgage. We use one card for emergencies.

Yet you listen to the Suzie Orman and people have $100K in CC debt! So be to be debt free is a blessing!

We will be paying off everything here in just a few weeks, well everything except the mortgage. It'll feel sooooo good to only have monthly utilities and a house payment! No more credit cards, no student loans, no car payments, no hospital bills, and Disney will be paid in full 4 months before we even get there! If we buckle down, the house can be paid off in 6 years when we're just 34 and 35 years old!

Great job! We had 25k in July and we are down to under 5K now! It would be gone but we took a few vacations. I am a little mad I couldn't kill it off in 2013 but I think we will get there by the end of January.
