Finally bought Crocs; my one foot loves it, the other one not so much...

Over here, you couldn't find Crocs until very recently. Since I read so much about them on here, I wanted to have some, and so I started the hunt for a pair of Crocs.

I bought one pair of Caymans (more or less 50 USD) and I ordered a pair of Athens (with shipping... more or less 55 USD). Yesterday, I wore my Caymans... One foot absolutely loves them, no problems at all. My other foot doesn't like them that much, and I have blisters all over.

How can I avoid blisters? Just keep on wearing them until my foot gets used to it or...?

Sandra,

I don't wear the heel strap. I turn it up over the arch and wear them like clogs. That might help. I also wear low thin socks too. I get a little "sweaty" in shoes without socks so that helps me a lot. I have never had blisters....good luck. I love my crocs.

If the strap is too tight, you can stretch it a little. Do each side at a time and hold with one hand by the connection while stretching with the other, so it doesn't break. Do it just a bit and then more if necessary. Once it's stretched, you can't go back.

I wore my Caymans with socks the first few times I wore them until they were broken in.

I tried stretching the strap and could never get it to stay stretched, until I found the dryer trick. I tumbled the shoes in my clothes dryer on low heat for a few minutes (maybe 3), then immediately put them on over socks and wore them around the house. They are very pliable while they're still warm, and after I did that, I had a perfect fit! I've done this on 3 pairs now - worked great on all 3.

Where is your blister? My dd got her blister on the side of just one foot too. She is still wearing hers with a bandaid. I am guessing it is like any other shoe you have to wear them in.

Thank you all for the responses.
The blister isn't, however, because of the strap. I wore them as clogs, with the strap on top. The blister is on my left foot, on top right (inside of my foot)

I think I'll put a bandaid over it and just keep on wearing them at home. That way, by the time I'll be at Disney (less than a month, woohoo!) I should be used to them!

thanks for the tip, :thumbsup2
i also wore mine for the first time on Saturday and the one shoe wasn't as comfortable.

how is the sizing on these
i am a 9 wide would i order the medium which is for 8/9
or order up a size
thanks

i'm wondering the same thing :scratchin

should i have gone to a bigger size???

I have bought a bigger size than I thought I needed. I am glad I went to a store to try them before I ordered them online. (had to order the Athens anyway, because they didn't have the color I wanted in the store)

Also, they had the same color, same size, but one pair made in USA and one made in Canada, and there was defintely a difference in size. The USA pair was good, the Canada one too small...

I had to sand the inside of the top of just one of mine. The finish was VERY rough and kept making the top of my foot raw. The other shoe was smooth. The little bumps had really hard scratchy spots.

Wow. This seems like a lot of work for a pair of shoes. Can plastic be that good for your feet? I always wonder....
