Phew! As the ticket prints I already have some buyer's remorse!

Our itinerary is Manchester NH-Orlando via Newark in Jan/Feb. Total for 4, $750 CAD.

This is close to a really good DING, but we got to preselect our seats.

I'm a little concerned about the drive to NH in Jan/Feb but my road-trippin' dh is happy about it. We'll just leave early if it looks like there's weather pending.

Opinions?

BTW, found it through Kayak by selecting "airports close to Boston". Thanks for suggesting Kayak!

Just nice to have a PLAN now.

I've personally never flown with Continental, but other family members have. They've flown out of Halifax -> Newark -> Orlando (+ other destinations) and have never had a complaint with the service. They were just happy to be there. ;) I do remember them saying that every flight they were on were full to the brim with no extra seats, so Continental must be doing something right! Plus with the US Preclearance going to Orlando the first week of October was an absolute breeze for them.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

That's a price you cannot beat with any size stick!!
And, like you say, weather is "work-around-able"...

Excellent work:)

We have flown Halifax - Newark - Orlando on Continental and they were great :thumbsup2 . They even fed us. Sandwich, cookie and drink. We had great flights to Orlando and back. The flight was packed though, especially from Halifax-Newark. The morning of our vacation they were looking for 4 people to take a later flight (for airline coupons). You won't have any problems flying with them. Have a great vacation. :wizard:

I love Continental - used to fly American all the time because of the leg room, but switched to Continental - they have great flights schedules, great prices, one of the best records for not losing luggage and being on time.

Well that would be refreshing! Actually we have a reeeeeeally tight connection in Newark going down (30 mins) but I plan for the kids and I to do Magical Express while dh gets the rental--so if the bags do get lost, Disney can sort it out!

Thanks everyone for the reassurance!! Now I just have to get my sister to book something. They are joining us from BC, and boy howdy, you think it's hard to get to WDW from the Canadian EAST coast--!

We flew Halifax-Newark-Orlando with Continental a while back and they were great. We were fed and it was a really easy connection in Newark. I was a little concerned because Newark is so large but it was much easier to get around than Montreal or Toronto. It was also full and they were asking for three people to stay back. This actually made our flight a bit late because no one wanted to wait (there was a snowstorm approaching). After several announcements, someone finally agreed and we were on our way.

The weather is unpredictable that time of year but it is no good worrying about it since it is out of your control! :teeth: Just hope for the best and the worst thing that can happen is that you may have to leave a day early if bad weather is predicted. :teeth:

We flew Continental for the first time a couple of weeks ago from Ottawa/Newark/Lisbon, Portugal return for a conference and were very pleased with the service, food and overall quality of the experience. We would happily fly with them again...
