well the US free dining offer for this Augsut finally came out a few days ago.
It's for August 25th to September 27th, so not when DD will be at WDW.

So i went ahead and booked her a room at the rack rate.
If they ever come out with the AP rate for August, i'll modify her reservation.
But i wanted to be sure she at least had a room somewhere!

It's a start Beth - hopefully you'll get a better price on the room later on :goodvibes Where have you booked?

pop century - that's where she wants to stay...
it would have been nice to book animation for her, but they only have suites for the summer.....i think they're eventually going to have regular non-suite rooms, but they don't have any for the summer...

she likes pop century - she stayed there with a friend a few years ago and then we all stayed there last year, and that's what she prefers this year..
the rate isn't too bad - it's $82 (plus tax) on weeknights and $107 (plus tax) on weekends.
Last year there was an AP discount of 35% during august, but i doubt it will be that high this year. but anything would be nice.

I'm waiting for the discount and then i'll add the dining plan to her reservation. She likes to have the dining plan so she doesn't pay anything out of pocket (other than tips). They're both big eaters (even though she doesn't look it, she's so skinny), so the dining plan works well for them.

Well I wish I had a mum like you to book my Disney fix :rotfl: My DD can eat, but burns it off with dancing and swimming at the minute - oh to be energetic :)

I understand your daughter, I'm a big eater too so the Dining plan sounds like a good plan. Cheers to you for being such a cool mom and booking for your daughter's trip! :thumbsup2
