I see what the fuss is about! DH & I went for breakfast this morning, it was REALLY good . Just wanted to share.

NOTE: Boma is an outstanding buffet for breakfast.
For dinner it's below average and worth passing by.
African and Middle Eastern foods are typically spiced
with cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, etc, which
can make food appear sweet to the taste buds.If doing
dinner, go for the soups, and leave the meats,
salads, the desserts for someone else. (There now
are fifteen different soups at five per night.) Bring out
the ear plugs, as it does get moisy.

I was just sitting here thinking how I wish we had time to do a Boma Breakfast on this next trip.
I have been wanting to try it for awhile now.

Glad you enjoyed it! I really want bkfst there, but I just dont know how to squeeze it into our 2 trips planned for next year. I just wish it wasnt at AKL. Seems like such a hassle unless you are staying there...grr. Need to figure out something b/c I really want to try it. Keep hearing way to many good bkfst reviews.

Breakfast is reallllllllllllllllly good there!!!

Hope you're having a great time!!!

We love Boma lot for dinner also (I know they seem to be unpopular then).. they're always crowded but once we get in we love the food. It's not for everyone's palette, though. We never thought to try them for breakfast but given all the feedback it seems like a must do!

We love the dinner and in April will be doing BOTH breakfast and dinner! Staying at AKL helps!

If you thought breakfast was good, just wait til you try dinner!

Boma has been one of the places that I really wanted to try. We had to cancel our trip last year so, wont get our chance until this summer. Dinnner is better for us and until recently, it seemed the reviews were better. I actually have been debating on changing the ressie but, since I still have 6 months , I figured I would wait and see. These comments make me feel a little better with my choice. It's just DD 17 and myself but, she is a picky , plainish eater but, willing to explore a little.

For several years I've been hearing the "Boma has gone down hill" reports, but each time I go back, it's clear to me that it's just fine.
Yes, there are those for which Boma is just not for them, but I've not seen any reason for those who *did* like it to think otherwise.

What is so good and/or different at Boma's breakfast v. other WDW breakfasts? We are staying at AKV so want to try Boma for breakfast or dinner. Breakfast seems like a safer bet for my family...not sure I can get them there for dinner!

We love Boma both breakfast and dinner. There have been a few reviews the past couple years regarding the 'too sweet' or 'cinnimon, nutmeg' over usage. This was discussed at length on Disboards last year and overall it seemed most disagreed and loved it! Its certainly not a restaurant for all but for those that are more adventerous its excellent. We will be there for our upcoming trip. Can't wait!!

I agree...I think some people just don't have the acquired taste for the spices maybe?? I LOVE spices...and I eat Indian & middle eastern food quite often....There really are not many spices I don't like.....At any rate, we would like to try dinner next..

Glad to hear you loved Boma. We had dinner twice there last month and were in :lovestruc

We love Boma for dinner. Yes I realize the spices are different, thank goodness for that. It is nice to try different things. Not for the meat and potatoes crowd but that leaves more for the rest of us.

My family is staying at AKL Kidani in April and I want to book breakfast at Boma. I have eaten there once before and loved it. I like how you can just hop from station to station instead of having to move in an unending line. The food choices are unique enough that you get to be adventurous but they aren't so out there that you can't find anything to eat.

As much as I love the breakfast at Boma, the dinner is even better!

I totally agree.
It is the one dinner ADR that we ALWAYS make and it never disappoints (unlike most other TS places at WDW).

We (DH, DD13 and I) go every year. It really is our favorite and has been since it opened. My mother, who hates any food with flavor of any kind, found plenty to eat although was not happy about the price.
Every restaurant has declined since the dining plan. I feel Boma has declined much less than most. Everyone should try it.
