:flower: Hi we are going to be in Orlando from April 18th- 26th. We are staying at the Vistana Villages for 8 nights, in a two bedroom lock-off overlooking the pool. Does anyone know if this is a good area to be in? My husband booked this resort and paid 1500 for the rooms and a rental car, I know he paid too much, but it is too late now, lol .We have not been to Disney World in 10 years, 5 years ago we visited Universal after we took a cruise, we loved US! Anyway, it will be me(45), DH (48), DS (16) and DD(9) . Another couple and their daughter will be joining us at the Vistana for a few days as we will have plenty of room there, 1400 sq. feet. Because we may not get back to DW for a few years, my DH decided we should try to do as much as we can, so here is our plan: We have purchased 3 day disney tix, no hopper as we thought we would choose 1 park per day, (as it has been so long since we have been there )leaving out either MGM or Animal Kingdom. We just will not have time to do them all on this trip. We also purchased 4 park Orlando Flex tix, so we will go to US IOA, Seaworld, And wet and Wild. So..... it looks like we will be on the go for most of our trip, but, we can go to a park, go back to the Vistana Village( I have heard this is a nice place, sure hope so!) and then go back to the same park later in the day if we want to. Our kids are old enough so they will not get too tired , and when we feel like taking a siesta, we will! I am waiting for my tix to come from Ticketmania, I just ordered them last Thursday. We got a great airfare from Bufalo to Orlando, our trip is all paid for except for food and souveneirs. I do have 6 Q&C vouchers to use also. I am sorry this is soooo long, but I have been unable to post, ( I have AOL, and something was not working right), so I am "cramming" everything into this 1 post in case I am not able to post again, lol :rotfl: Any suggestions for our family trip to DW would be great, thanks!!!

yes your resort is close enough for you to go home occasionally for naps from both WDW and SW.

US/IOA is further away - and US/IOA is also harder to get back to visit - their parking lot is 1/2 mile from their theme parks - so it is a LONG walk. to do this once you shouldn't have a problem - but to do this twice - you are walking 2 miles and you aren't even in the parks....

they have a people mover type of thing - but it is slow....

Have stayed at v.v 5 times and NEVER had a bad room. Even the last time when we were toward the back near the highway (we could not complain they brought us down for 5 nights for a total of 119.00 and no tour) there was no noise. I LOVE it and to be honest we are booked for Vistana Resort in August and I KNOW it will not come close to Vistana Village.

I do not think you paid too much if you back out the car then it is approx 1200 divide by 7 and you are paying about 125 -130 per day. NOT BAD for this place. You will never find it on special now that it is established so enjoy. We paid our first trip 139 for a 2 bd rm . It was our first time off site and when we opened the door we almost droped..we figured it was priced incorrectly and that we got a room that by Disney standards would be about 350-400 per night.

If it were me I would request the top floor. I do not like people walking over my head.

Bella the Ball, how did you get the vv so cheap, I am trying to research for next year can't find anything that cheap.
