Some of you may remember my less than wonderful stay to BVC in July. Well, yesterday when I got home from work I found a lengthy message on my answering machiene from DVC stating that they were sorry my trip was less than magical--only 5 months. This will be followed up, I was told by a written apology as well as "looking" into the situation. I guess better late than never, though I have left BCV off the list for a little while--not February or July. Maybe 2006, will be long enough for change to evolve? Just wanted to update for anyone interested.

can you explain what happen during your stay at the BCV, i think i remember
and please tell us DVC responce to your not so magical trip? :wizard:

A quick refresher for those who want to know--checked in after 4pm and room was not ready"getting its finishing touches", but all of your requests were met--ok I'll wait. Check back in an hour-- that room will now not be ready until tomorrow so here's a different room/ told it met requests, none were met, opened door--room set up for VIP guests--clearly not for me, call down to clear things up took hours, call from management in panic, inappropriate comments. Room not cleaned properly (and I am not really that picky).
Response: that isn't the way it should have been, my pre-assigned room must have been given to someone else, mix up in placement of "goodies" was handled incorrectly--all WDW guests are special and should be treated that way, apology, comments will be shared with BCV and number to call prior to arrival if I chose to stay at BCV in the future. All I wanted was the apology and to know that all was being done to prevent this kind of problem from happening in the future. For me it wa just one trip of many, for someone else it could have been a once in a lifetime trip.

Good gravy, 5 months just to acknowledge the complaint. Let us know how long it takes to actually do the "follow up" and the "looking into".

It has taken this long for a response, that is not right. I am really disappointed, please let us know the outcome. Hopefully, it will not take them another 5 months. Again, I am sorry, what happened to your family was inexcusable.

Rec'd follow up in the mail yesterday. Just a repeat of the phone message, and the number to call IF I chose to stay there again. Though I am not so rash as to sell my points over one bad experience, some people are and that kind of turn around time would be enough to be done with it! I figure so long as I can get other resorts in the 7 month window no big deal. As I said I may return to BCV in 2006.

It's been 17 months for us and we haven't heard back from VWL when the power went out, the generators started right outside our room and set our smoke detector off in the middle of the night. Talk about a panic attack! The front desk didn't know anything about it. Maintenance called the next morning and said, yes there had been a power outage and the generators did come on. No apology, letter, or phone call after many complaints regarding our sleepless night.
