Finally a Mouseketeer!

After eyeing the other DIS Mouseketeers jealously and hoping to get rid of my "Earning my Ears" tag as soon as possible, I am FINALLY, OFFICIALLY A Mouseketeer!!!!

*Possibly too excited, but this is DIS Boards so you guys will understand... *

I'm not completely up with the whole tag fairy thing either. But here goes with my version of an explanation...

Have you noticed that some people just have random quotes where we have Mouseketeer? Those quotes are something that they've said on the Dis somewhere which have been snatched by the tag fairy - I think it's a mod...
It only happens rarely - or if you can't wait, I think you can change it yourself by going to your user CP. But I consider that cheating... So I don't know how to do it...

I've been off the site for a while and never even noticed it! I do know that I got hit by the tag fairy a couple times, and I love my tags!

Yes the tag fairy quotes things you say on the dis, not sure what the number is to become a Mouseketeer, but I believe it's around 75.

You can add stuff yourself, but it will only be in black. For example, I added my Princess Bride quote myself. Later, I got tagged, and the Tag Fairy changed the color, and added a tag as well. I don't think you can change or remove whatever the Tag Fairy has bestowed upon you. You're stuck with it. It seems to be just random if you get tagged.

So say something good, and not too embarrassing...!

I am jealous, I am trying like crazy to earn my ears as well, it seems like I post and post and never get there, LOL!
Maybe it is just like going to Disneyland-- the anticipation is as much fun as the destination!

This is soo funny! I got on today (after not checking in for the weekend) and noticed that I am too a mouseketeer. I thought to myself, " I have never noticed that before". I never knew there was a difference. I always thought it would say "Earning My Ears" forever. I have been on this board quite a bit since I became a DVC member and never saw a reference to the sig before today. And on the day I notice the change... here is a thread on the very same. What a nice surprise.
