DISers you are AMAZING. I've been reading the forums for many years now, starting with planning my first trip back in 2013. I'm the planner for our family of 4 and it was my first trip to MK. We had a magical trip mainly due to the wonderful insight gained through your posts!
I wonder how many out there read, learn and never join... the underlying message is that your discussions help SO many turn an average-to-great trip into a pure-Disney-magic trip.

So why do I join now?
We always plan our trip for the 3rd week of September. It's our youngest DD's birthday week and crowds historically have been low. This year, however, they announced the extended dates for F&W they day after we booked. I'm totally excited to be going to F&W, but also really nervous about how that will impact our trip. We are staying at BWV, and the original plan was to Hop to Epcot most nights for dinner in World Showcase. Also, based off last trip I was hoping to get away without touring plans, but now I'm thinking we'll have to have some.
We will not be getting the dining plan... and I've hedged my bets that perhaps free dining will finally be discontinued (or ridiculously bundled) this year anyway. However, it looks like the ADRs for September are starting to tighten up compared to August... and I'm thinking it's in anticipation of FD. My 180 day window opens in 9 days.
Added pressure... planning for 6 on this trip as my parents are joining us. It will be my mom's 1st trip to Disney, and my Dad's 2nd (although his last trip was in Dec. 1971, so there wasn't much to see yet).
The anticipation of ROL, AK evening hours, F&W, Frozen Ride/Anna & Elsa M&G (DD is a huge fan) is killing me... I can't wait to hear about the new offerings and see how they work into our plans.
