Finally a Gold! What to expect....

Is status applied separately to each person in the stateroom. I'll be gold after our cruise this month. Then in December, the lead person in my stateroom is silver and I'm gold. Will I still get the gold goodies?

I don't know if it depends on whose the lead name. The last cruise we did I was Gold and my brother was Silver. When we checked in I got the gold lanyard and he got silver. The gift in our room was for Gold members.

He still went to the Gold members meet and greet with me and they let him in.

Tried one and was hooked. Replaced my frequent trips to WDW with cruises, most booked just a few weeks ahead with VGT rates.

I don't believe the lead name matters. We just cruised in 2 staterooms- both received the gold gift and my husband (who was the only silver in our family at the time) was the lead in the second room. My daughter, also registered in that room, was gold.

I was told it was highest status in the room that counts for gifts etc so as long as one of you is gold then you get the gold gifts

That is great!! We are hooked too. 6 cruises in 3 1/2 years. Haven't done a short notice cruise yet

Regarding the 10% discount on merchandise, I thought I have read somewhere that this is no longer offered as a perk.
Can someone pls confirm whether you still get the 10% discount ?

We are Gold and just got off of the Fantasy last Saturday. Received 10% discount on the random purchases in the gift shops, even small purchases like diapers and clearance items. Loved that perk.
