When I called for availability and rates, I was told I have a "PIN" for a discount due to number of trips to DW. We have been 10 times in 14 years, so it finally paid off! We got BC for $275 (standard view) which is a discount of about $80 per night. This applied to other resorts also :cool1:

I go 4-5 times per year and started 17 years, ago where's my pin ? I not only stay on my DVC points I do rent at least 2 times per year from disney . when I call she says so you have been here over 50 times. but still no pin but I do have an AP/ will be staying sept 27 for 6 nights free dining not at DVC

Maria, I feel your pain. NO PIN for us either and this Thanksgiving will be our 15th trip since 1993.

are pin-less and have been going 2-3 times a year for 12 years now.

HOWEVER, we stayed at the Swan in 2004 and Dolphin in 2005 for a long weekend trip. We immediately started getting "return guest" discount offers. Go figure -

Another reason to love the Swan and Dolphin. We don't stay there for all of our trips, but we're starting to consider the Swan and Dolphin one of "our resorts."

I called to make a one night ressie for October with our AP and was told we had a pin next to my name. The pin rate was higher than my AP rate ($5). I guess if I was a person only getting an AP for the discount, I may have taken the pin rate, but since we are AP holders 10+ years now, it didn't make a difference. This was the first time in more than 60 trips to WDW that I was told I had a pin. Now, I could've had it all along because I never asked, but up until this year, for the past 8 years we booked all of our trips with a CM discount and that was always much lower than any pin offered. We are also DVC members now too, but do use the resorts to arrive a day or two earlier before checking in on a Sunday.

I read about special post cards, e-mails etc but after 20+ stays on property we have only received 1 post card ever. It was useless to us because it required the trip to be taken within a few weeks. Most working people I know can't schedule vacation time on such short notice anyway.

After 20 years I moved to another city with a new phone#. It seems that Disney keeps records based on phone#. I had a conversation with a res agent one day and she couldn't find any record of previous visits made when we were living at our former address.

This has to be about demographics in addition to visits. I've been 30+ (prob more??!!) in the last 20+ years (always staying on property) and I have NEVER received any sort of discount/pin offer. Maybe they figure I'm such a disney nut that I'll continue to visit with or without discounts LOL
