FINALLY... 2010 planning!! Who's going?

we are thinking about a trip jan 4-9 2010. Still trying to decide. We won't book anything until late based on DH's vacation.

We will be driving since we flew last time and my oldest had a severe ear infection after he refuses to fly. Now since we are driving DH wants to bring the 5th wheel and stay at Fort Wilderness so we will see.

Thank you OP for starting this thread! I just found it I have been planning and replanning a '10 trip for weeks now. I didn't know you can book a room only ressie right now. Can this be done on the official WDW site? We are thinking of March or May.

May 2nd is my birthday.
BUT, I do feel guilty because this is suppost to be a trip for our DS. I would love to go on his birthday in September but DH refuses to go during hurricane season, so my birthday it is.
Am I wrong to feel guilty?

Rooms for 2010 can only be booked by phone until the new rates come out in August. You will pay a one-night deposit (holiday rate) and your vacation cost will be adjusted when the new rates come out.

We are definitely going in 2010 for our 10th anniversary. We just haven't decided on the dates yet.

I was finally able to get my DH to pick dates for our 2010 trip. We are going April 30 - May 7, 2010. The DS's think we are going in September. We are just going to pick them up from school that day and head to the airport. We were going to try and keep it a secret hopefully until we got on the plane or maybe as far as Orlando. However what we are going to do is pick them up from school and then head to the off air port parking. If they ask what we are doing we are going to simply say "well if you would rather not go to Disney World, then we can always go home instead."

We are going for our 7th trip in January 2010. We've never been in January before, always May or June. I see where several people have trips planned for January. Can you tell me what to expect with the weather? I have no idea what kinds of clothing to take etc. We'll be in our 5th wheel RV staying at Wilderness Campground.

DH just learned some news about a conference he always goes to in March 2010---and it's in Orlando! Time to start planning! Conference starts on the 12th, so we'll book the week leading up to that...! It'll be our youngest DD's first trip. She'll be a year and a half by then! Thats sooooo awesome!!!! One of my good friends booked a DCL and didn't tell her son. She woke him up real early for their flight and he had no idea what was going on! (he's only 9) Once they got to the airport in orlando and saw the ME check in he thought they were going to WDW then he said to her "hey this is a looooong ride to WDW" then he saw the Wonder and feraked out! SHe was sooo glad she kept it a secret. Good luck with planning and keeping it from the little ones.

P.S. I am soooo bad at keeping secrets I know i couldn't do it!

Just got back from the world and I am thinking about a Aug 2010 trip. We have done May the past 2 years and it was good (except for the crazy rain we got this year) but I will no longer be able to do May b/c I will be teaching.

So who goes in August...tell me about it...is free dining always in Aug? Hows crowds? I can only imagine how humid it is....but we could do it

We'll be going during spring break 2010, from March 27th - April 4th, and then again for a longer trip during the summer. Possibly even a winter trip if we can swing it.

Was orginally planning for March (Spring Break), but not so sure anymore. Looking at December now. I've always wanted to go when it's all decorated for Christmas

We were just there for Spring Break in March and decided that we want to go back in Sept. 2010 (our most favorite time of year). We don't know the dates yet, but we know that we want to stay at CR MK View (first time staying here). I am so giddy with joy, we have never gone 2 years in a row I think I finally got my DH hooked on Disney because this was his idea
