Well, I think we have finally found a plan we are going to stick to. Feel free to post any thoughts, comments, etc.

Who- Me and Mom (30's and 50's)
When- early Oct
Where- Contemporary via Shades of Green discount (THANKS DH!)
Why- We love Disney and are due some time away to just have fun!

Day 1- Friday- arrive around 4; get to Contemporary around 5. Check in. Take monorail to TTC and get our stars and stripes 5 day passes (THANK YOU DH FOR SERVING IN THE NAT'L GUARD!!) Dinner PS for 7:40 at California Grill. Sleep
Day 2- Sat- Epcot in AM; Beaches & Cream around 4:30; MGM in evening for a ride or two and Fantasmic
Day 3- Sun- MK (EE)- lunch at Cinderella's Table, dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe
Day 4- Mon- AK (EE)- Tusker House for lunch, Cape May Cafe for dinner, explore Boardwalk after dinner
Day 5- Tues- MGM (EE)- 50's PTC for lunch, Epcot for a leisurely but casual dinner (I'm thinking a sandwich and pastry from Norway?) dinner, stay for Illuminations
Day 6- Wed- SeaWorld (free tickets for military salute-woohoo- thanks again DH!!), perhaps dinner at Rain Forest Cafe at DtD and go to Adventurer's Club with our leftover Hopper Plus feature from last trip
Day 7- Thurs- MK (EE) see anything we missed, casual lunch, be at airport between 2:30 and 3 for flights home.

We added in the Sea World option and the extra day earlier this week- I'm excited about Sea World- haven't been since High School (SW San Diego); never been to the Orlando one and I think it will be a nice little break from WDW and I'm looking forward to seeing the animals. I'm so looking forward to this trip- I am so devoted to my kids & my DH, but I haven't had any me time since my almost 6 year old was 2, and I need a little time away for some pampering and laughs with Mom.

Sounds like a great time!! I'm jealous! I wish I could go with my mom... I'm 29, she's 52, and she lives all the way in Ca while I"m here in GA.....hmm...maybe I can save and do that with her...that'd be awesome! Ya'll are gonna have soo much fun, at the dinners and your schedule doesn't seem rushed yet you're gonna see alot...Looks good :)

Sounds like you both will have a wonderful time. I luv going to WDW with mom, it is always so much fun!!!

Please double check, Alice - I believe you have to get the Stars and Stripes pass at the SOG ticket outlet, (in the Contemporary North Garden Wing, fourth floor I think) and the Armed Forces Salute Tickets at the ticket booth at the park(s) If you are qualified for the Armed Forces Salute ticket, that is the SUPER deal. Stars and Stripes is good, too, but it isn't the same bargain. Either way, be sure you have the ID and/or paperwork needed.

You are so lucky to be going with your Mom! What a fun trip - and the Contemporary is great - a fabulous opportunity for military folk while SOG is under renovation.

Maddle

Correct. SOG has a ticket office in the North Tower of the Contemporary...and you must bring LES and/or military ID card proving you are active, DOD civilian, reserves or a spouse of one.

Ooooppppssss... I meant the military salute pass. We bought our last tickets at the SoG office at the CR, so I know where that is too. But since DH is 'active military' I'm going to try and get the $99 pass that Disney is offering, although their wording is a bit strange of who is qualified.
